Updated info:
The first Test of the Bledisloe Cup series was due to be played at Eden Park on Aug. 7, with the Wallabies originally planning to travel to Auckland next week after regrouping on the Gold Coast on Sunday and preparing for a week in Australia. But they may be forced to travel across the ditch much sooner, pending exemptions from the New Zealand Government. The bulk of the Wallabies squad has remained in Queensland following the 2-1 series win over France, although Brumbies players were permitted to return to Canberra earlier this week. Given Queensland has only had a small number of recent cases, it may be that Rugby Australia [RA] is granted an exemption for the Wallabies to travel to New Zealand and avoid hotel quarantine ahead of the first Test.
As long as no one is in NSW they may be OK to travel.

@bovidae exemptions aren't handed over easily. I doubt they get exemptions. Best case scenario is quarantine like last year imo.
Arden did say if the Wallabies could arrive in NZ in the next 7 days and put up a good economic case,They would not have to quarantine.

fuck Covid, just fuck it!!

So Wallabies get here in 7 days, but they have to then stay here for entire RC, SA and Arg too. Really the only way it can work with no bubble - might be a cut down version like last year but here rather than in oz
That looks likely

I don't want North v South or ABs in the NPC.
As someone from the non Franchise provinces the NPC is interesting because it's competitive, an influx in AB's will make it uncompetitive.
Personally, I don't get excited by North v South.
In saying all that I'll take both options over no rugby at all.

A holding statement that announces absolutely nothing.

Looking too be a money making test in Washington on the way up north, covid permitting, Vs USA
FedEx Field, in Maryland, the home of the Washington Football team (formerly known as the Redskins) could be ideal. 82,000 stadium, less than 10km from the National Mall.
Nationals Park is the wrong shape for Rugby, RFK is about to be demolished and the Georgetown stadium would too small.

That only works if the whole of the Rugby Championship shifts to Perth. Is NZ about to lose hosting the Tests against SA and Argentina?
