Bellamy must be a great development coach , his improvement is so similar to all the other great players they have had , recruited as a young nobody then goes to the elite level under his watch
I’m surprised with how much he has improved
I don't think that is quite true, he was hyped before he joined the Storm, I certainly knew about him and I only
carecared about the Warriors.I didn't think he'd become the Storm's number 1 halfback though so am with you on the surprised how much he's improved.
He played in the Gold Coast and cowboys systems mostly in the seconds as a fullback and other lower leagues , I don’t remember him being that hyped but maybe he was somewhere
Joined the storm in 17 , there were other players well ahead of him at the time , particularly at halfback , he is at another level now

How bad is Townsend?

I imagine 'fold some fluffybunny' wouldn't fit around his wrist?

Watched the most absorbing game of the season last night. Funny how kiwi Jordan Rapana did the pre match interview and then he was the one who provided the highs and lows of the match and the defining moment a few seconds from time. So glad the ref allowed his brave game saving slam tackle. I love it when a guy you can identify with plays with such passion. And well done commentators with your brilliantly passionate commentary too.

The extension of the signing window to August 1 is interesting isn't it?
Tevita Pangai Jnr has gone from playing about 60 minutes of great footy, and untold minutes of dogshit, for the team coming 2nd last, to getting to play finals with the team most expect to play Melbourne in the GF. And then at the end of the year he makes his ultimate move to the Bulldogs. Even for a guy who doesn't mind players moving around, that seems pretty weird.

Im guessing Leniu is the guy that misses out in the forward rotation. I actually think a guy with his offloading ability is only going to give Penrith more ball. I also dont think he will negatively impact them culturally in a short time. Some times a change in club helps. Although the warriors are still losing, Lodge has been a massive positive impact in the last two weeks. Its all a guess, but it does look like a showdown between Melbourne and the Riff
So next year Doggies pick up Burton, JAC, and TPJ and will be overseen by Gould and Steve Hansen. They still might need a few more to turn around that club, but thats a good start.

@bayimports The Dogs also have Dufty.
It seems they'll get Paul Vaughan as well. They'll likely get him for cheap too.

Just on talent alone, they are significant pick ups. Coach is going to need to step up as well to get the most out of these misfits ha ha

Was a good game last night. The Raiders defense was impressive.
it was a bit old school with points being very hard to come by. Some seriously big hits as well which are always great to watch.
some mega hits, Rapana's hit with the hip at the death was huge. Had to laugh all the commentators going through the rule book, no you cannot hit with a shoulder or lead with feet or knees..sh*t nothing written about hips .. "its no try"

With Luke Thompson, Paul Vaughan, Josh Jackson, Raymond Faitala-Mariner and Tevita Pangai Jr in their pack, they shouldn't have too much problem rolling up field.
Their backline still has a couple of holes in it, but they should be far more threatening on attack next season.

Where?
- Duffty
- Addo-carr
- Cotric
- Naden
- Allan
- Burton
- Flanagan
That's an insane backline. Especially vs what they had this year
-
@mackerzzzz forgot about Naden, good pick up that.

Not convinced about their centres, especially on defense. Cotric is a decent runner but doesn't look like a proper centre - he looks more like a winger than a centre.
None of their halfback options are consistent, but who knows, maybe the new additions help improve their performance. Not sure if Flanagan will be their starting halfback, he's out of favor at the Dogs and has been shopped around to Super League clubs.
