NPC - news, injuries etc

@kiwiwomble Jack Debreczeni is a surprise.
-
@stargazer aslong as we pick up Roigard, I’m not too fussed on who ends up being the third halfback.
-
Strong Cantab squad. Anyone keen to name their top 23 minus All Blacks..
-
i always find it funny, and i know its not as simple as this, but Daniel Lienert-brown players for Canterbury and the Highanders but Bower plays for Otago and the Crusaders
you would have thought they could swap so they could settle in one town

The difference might be that DLB is actually from Christchurch, while Bower is from Wellington.

@stargazer as i say, i get its not that simple, bowers spends the NPC season in dunners and the super season in chch, thats a lot of your year

Looking at the Cantab squad it's interesting not to see Owen Franks in the squad. I believe he's back in New Zealand so maybe he will suit up for Wellington or another province in the Canes catchment...

@canes4life Is Armstrong available for the Wellington this year or has he already gone as that might give an insight to where is going to end up, though surprisingly he hasn’t played club rugby in Wellington.

cheers, he's pretty blunt about it
Naholo admitted he approached Taranaki, who he played 35 games for between 2011 and 2019, before signing with Canterbury. “It came around real quick [the deal]. I didn’t get much interest from anywhere else,” he said. “I obviously asked there first. I’m from up there. I was keen to go back there, but they’ve got a good crew up there already.
must have been his pay as much as anything, Canterbury dont need to take a gamble, they must think they can get his knee right

@kiwiwomble Well they do need all the help they can get after their pathetic campaign last year, which includes an over the hill Naholo.
