@nepia he was but they were all average to start with. Slim pickings until they decided to give Love a crack which you could argue was a little early as he's still developing.

I take umbrance at that! If you are attached to a City club you know the WRFU darlings are the combined Wellington College Old Boys-Victoria University outfit, followed closely by Petone if you are looking for a Hutt Valley contender.

@mikey07 But you did get the great Jonah as an allocated player when he was here all those years ago. Sadly when you have someone like him on your books they never get to play because of other rugby commitments. In your case he did manage one game for the 'Nui but that was an away game at Porirua Park so it was Norths that really benefited in terms of crowd and bar sales!.

Edited to add that the "advanced" discussions are most likely with Brett Cameron.

@stargazer what could also influence the signing (if it eventuates) is that J Barrett and Cameron are very close mates outside of rugby. If signing Cameron was one of the reasons for Jordie re-signing at the Canes then I'm all for it.
