@stargazer which shows how out of touch some laws are with the game.

Soft decision
But correct decision
Correct decision just doesn’t add value to the game.

What, so you're saying it should be ok too pull down a maul right in front of your try line?
100% if he had not done so, it would have been a try. Blatant and cynical foul play.
-
@machpants half a cm in it apparently. Announcers have outstanding eyesight.
-
Laban and Hames embarrassing themselves over the penalty try, Laban particularly.
Pretty obviously the right call.
-
I like Laban.

Prinsep had the ball.
How is that different to someone coming through the maul legally and tackling the player with the ball.

You can't tackle someone in a maul, ball carrier or not
Intentionally collapse a maul or jump on top of it.
Attempt to drag an opponent out of a maul.
Sanction: Penalty. -

Sanction: Penalty.I understand the rule. We are talking about if the rule is right.

Their forwards aren't quite up to it, so far, but I'm liking Manu Samoa with ball to hand.
-
@machpants no needing a yc too, I know pro foul and all, but a pt and yc is overkill
-
@taniwharugby so perhaps the ref should have discretion with penalty try and or yellow card? As the rule currently stands, seems to me the tackler knew what he was doing.
