Moleli has his revenge. After a great break, his run ends just before the Hamilton try line, and one of his team mates goes over.

    7 - 10 Hamilton.

In the other game, it's still 5 - 3 to Hastings.

Damn, good try to Rototua's no. 14. Some glitches in Hastings' defence.

    5 - 10 Rotorua

Hastings have scored a penalty goal.

    8 - 10 to Rotorua

It's half time in the other game:

    Napier 7 - 10 Hamilton

Just before half time, Rotorua are lucky to get away with just a penalty and a warning.

Hastings score a penalty goal and it's half time:

    Hastings 11 - 10 Rotorua

    CNI - full time scores:

    Lindisfarne 12 - 22 St Peter's Cambridge
    St John's Hastings 25 - 15 Francis Douglas

    That's a great result for St John's!

@nepia I say it the other way round!!! But we are HB first and foremost so must support each other no matter how hard it might be on occasions.

    Damn and yay, again!

Hamilton score another try, and Hastings go for the 3 points. Hastings no. 3, 7 and 8 are excellent.

Hamilton leads 22 to 7. Come on Napier!

    Hastings leads 21 to 10.

Cooper is a clever captain. Keeps the scoreboard going, even if it's in 3s.

    24 - 10 Hastings

    They're parked in Rotorua's 22.

Napier has enough attacking flair, but - just like last week - handling errors let them down.

How much time to go @Stargazer? I need to go out for hikoi before the games this afternoon - but am sitting here following your commentary. 🙂

    Errr, try to Rotorua.

Hastings now leads 24 to 17, with about 13-15 minutes to go.

    I downvote this post. 🙂

Napier can't find a way to stop Hamilton's driving maul. Another try. Hamilton is looking good again, this year.

Hamilton now leads 27 to 7.

There's a big difference between Napier's starters and reserves. It's a big step down.

Hastings' no. 18 sent to the bin. Didn't see what happened.

A Napier back gets injured, Hamilton kick the ball in his direction and chasing. And the lad still gets up, limps, to defend. Dedication, but he's done again. A few phases later, and Hamilton is in again.

Hastings' defence is struggling with a man in the bin, but keep them out. For now.

    Full time!

    Napier Boys 7 - 32 Hamilton Boys

Great effort in the first half and there wasn't much separating both teams, but the difference was very noticeable in the second half and Hamilton fully deserves the win!

    Hastings Boys 24 - 17 Rotorua Boys

Great game, not so great stream. This is a very good Rotorua team, so Hastings with 14 players defending and keeping them from scoring at the death was a massive effort. This is a good Hastings team. Not sure whether they're 2017 or 2019 level good, but they have some great individual players. Please, HBRU, sign Cooper and lock him in for several years. The poachers will be watching, too.
