@mariner4life snap - all comes down to the $. If we got a decent deal then it's a good buy imo. A few years out of the Warriors has done him some good. He's still playing pretty well.

From following his Twitter feed, I've had the impression Gould is focusing more on the future talent systems/whatever at the Warriors to build and retain more of the best of the local kids over the long haul. Not so much current recruitment?
I'm not a fan of Johnson, but he'd be a better bet than Nikorima. Both of them run inconsistently hot and cold... but Nikorima is more often cold than Johnson from what I've seen.

i said it earlier, i would take SJ at $400k in a heartbeat. If it's $800k then fuuuuuck

Gonna be an awkward changing room isn’t it?
Weren’t most of the team happy to see the back of him, lots of word coming out about how disruptive he was.
Last to training first to leave etcThere's three players still in the team (by my rough count), so not sure how awkward it will be. Four, I forgot Tohu.

yous got what yous want

On that level alone it seems weird to bring him back...
Maybe he's older and wiser. Hopefully...

I agree, Sj is a good player and he is the sole reason the Sharks have been competitive of late, given he was injured for most of this seaon. He is not the 800k player he once was and Phil Gould knows this, the Warriors arent complete mugs (not all the time), at 400k he is a has a lot of value. He just has hopefully worked on his locker room etiquette

i just read it reported at $450k a year. Now i am happy with the signing

For me I see it as a downgrade. The problem with SJ is that he rarely takes it to the line. If he does it’s usually very late on the game. Part of the Warriors problem has always been being passive on defence (fitness?), taking the pass on attack behind the advantage line, and playmakers not taking it forward. The thing I liked with this years version of Kodi is he was taking the line on a lot more - and making lots of breaks. In that regard, Brown has been coaching this specifically. He will look for SJ to do that a lot more than he has been doing so hopefully he can turn him around. But I still see a lot of nothing in his play with Cronulla so I am doubtful. This for me is the reason they got rid of him i.e. they said they were never going to win a championship with him. The perfect example of someone who did it well was Maloney. He was a big loss.

What a complete fucking shit show. Renaldo Mulitalo has been ruled ineligible for QLD lol.
The rules* state that a player must either be born in their chosen state or have resided there before the age of 13yo.....
He's represented QLD at age grade. It's fucking game day!!?!
*It's laughable that after years of questionable selections they finally decided to do something about it.

Where is Auckland? ...Its in Queensland ..stupid toads
seriously though, like raz says, he played origin at lower levels and either no one knew, checked or cared..clearly a tip off and gamesmanship for sure, I wouldn't be surprised if he is allowed to play..but its would to f**k with their heads a bit.
Could be the fire Qld need though after last time

Nah, fuck 'em. A New Zealander who moves too Queensland just short of his 14th birthday, a few years later plays for Cronulla's U18 side and stays with the club ever since, and elected to represent Samoa internationally is clearly not a Queenslander. They've been taking the piss since this started and I'm delighted to further decrease their "depth" to maximise the chance of a record defeat.
