    Half time

Refereeing is a goddamn joke. Offsides ignored, swimming up the side of mauls permitted, clear red card turns out to be yellow and a clear yellow into a penalty.

Christie: Slow to rucks, even slower to move the ball. Box kicks are contestable because they're only going forwards 10m which begs the question; why bother?

Not sure why Christie kept kicking with the Blues up a man at the time.

Especially when they’re on attack only 35-40m out from the tryline. Idiot.

Also can’t remember which commentator was saying he’s the best kicking 9 in the Blues squad - his kicking has been awful.
Nock is head and shoulders better than the other two 9s when it comes to the box kick. And he can’t even get a game.

    Ta$man Mako$ and Ruru fetish.

I’m behind the play, but I’m unsure how Dixon’s tackle is only yellow.

No malice he says, but most red cards we see these days have no malice, so it’s irrelevant.

Just wait until you see a red mitigated to a penalty 😬

I cannot believe that we started at red when a guy literally tripped over, versus yellow for a tackle where a guy aimed with force to hit the key playmaker of the opposite team in the head with his shoulder.

To be fair, the shoulder to head did start at red, they just wrongly mitigated it down to yellow saying it wasn't directly to the head.

If it wasn't direct contact to the head, the starting point isn't red, but yellow.

If high contact is by the tackler's shoulder or head, which it was, then the starting point is red.

@bones Caused by Nareki running him off the ball.

Eh? End on footage clearly shows Heem veering in to Nareki running straight, then they go shoulder to shoulder and either Heem wins, or Nareki isn't careless and realises he's going to collide with a player in the air so veers off. Heem falls over due to not being able to lean on Nareki.

Putting aside our allegiances and whether or not there should have be yellows or red cards, isn’t it good to have a full compliment of players on the field for the sake of the game.

It's a breathe of fresh air when we all take off our lawyer's hats and judge the collisions with common sense and game awareness in mind. Captain's agreeing, and not whinging was great

Well if going on my post above it was him who caused Heem to trip by not pushing back...

Blues have made 30 tackles vs. 79 for Highlanders, according to Sky. Is that right?

You guys saying this must have seen different footage to the replays I saw. His shoulder literally smashes into the guy’s head. With force. Intentional force.

You don't get better examples of high tackles meriting a red card.

    Clear direct contact. Check.
    Reckless. Check.
    Avoidable. Check.
    High force. Check.
    Line of sight. Check. Unimpeded.
No sudden and significant drop or movement. Check.
Clear attempt to change height. Check. In fact Dixon started high and drove higher.

I'm intrigued to see the footage that has the head as secondary contact.

Falls over in the opposite direction of the guy he was trying to lean on?
