Blues halves and their option taking leaves a lot to be desired.

By 'a lot' you mean everything?

Degroot must be close to a professional foul.

Could've sworn i saw a penalty reversed back to a scrum because of a knock on a week or two ago...🤔

Was a mile forward and were lucky to get 3 there, but lets be honest, Ash Dixon should have seen red for what he did.

For falling over? Not even a penalty

Tight game, enjoying it at the club 🙂

@act-crusader Nah pretty hard to give that one yellow when Nareki's contact forced the slip imo.

If it got given yellow however, I could see the reasoning behind it but penalty only fair call imo.

Putting aside our allegiances and whether or not there should have be yellows or red cards, isn’t it good to have a full compliment of players on the field for the sake of the game.

He made himself fall over by trying to shove Nareki out of the way

Blues have to commit a forward to the back of many rucks, as Christie is late to the ruck.

Game still over. Highlanders endeavour just isn't gonna overcome blues power. Especially with these mistakes and poor decisions by leaders.

One thing I've noticed about Parkinson which must count heavily (geddit) against him...his concrete boots look even heavier than the ones Papalii used to wear.

Nareki playing his way out of AB selection musings.

I’m behind the play, but I’m unsure how Dixon’s tackle is only yellow.

No malice he says, but most red cards we see these days have no malice, so it’s irrelevant.

Just wait until you see a red mitigated to a penalty 😬

I cannot believe that we started at red when a guy literally tripped over, versus yellow for a tackle where a guy aimed with force to hit the key playmaker of the opposite team in the head with his shoulder.

To be fair, the shoulder to head did start at red, they just wrongly mitigated it down to yellow saying it wasn't directly to the head.

If it wasn't direct contact to the head, the starting point isn't red, but yellow.

Refs got the Heem call correct.

Clearly the impact with Nareki caused Heem to fall into that one. To card someone for a complete accident would be setting a fucking awful precedent.

@tim everything is slow from the rucks, lineouts etc which allows the Highlanders to get back into position. Imagine Aaron Smith behind the Blues.

But it was Heem's contact that forced the slip....hence Nareki getting bumped off away from the contact...

I’m talking about the discussion on here - without checking the thread it felt like the starting point was (generally) YC unless you were supporting the Blues while the Heem one was almost automatically RC - when he literally fell over.

You guys saying this must have seen different footage to the replays I saw. His shoulder literally smashes into the guy’s head. With force. Intentional force.

Heem made the contact from what I saw. Heem’s play was in the careless category and we’ve seen that punished with cards when a player is in the air and there’s been a collision like that.

Clear that Heem changed his line and initiated contact. He then fell over and took out legs of jumper. Yellow all day.
