His fingers were pointing down, there is no doubt at all the ball touched the ground which is what the 3rd umpire was saying. Not particularly controversial.

Do the players get to see replays on the big screen? Can't see an argument if Broad saw it

In the classic kiwi style Young has a knack of finding the fielder

Happy to get to lunch just one down. Nervous start for Young but started to look more comfortable. Conway is mentally tough, really doesn't let anything faze him.

Bed time, hope I wake up to good news tomorrow 🙂

From memory Young's county form was 0 or 100, so this could be an interesting day.

Stuart Broad is still as big a twat as ever. Good to know some things remain constant...

That on drive he just hit off Stone (91mph) was absolutely gorgeous

early start here, and that's a nice scorecard to wake up to.

Rosco is awesome, but not playing particularly well right now. Why the hell is Root bowling so many overs? Pitch turning much?

Doull chuntering on that Broad's 'catch' was a catch. Honestly, I don't care as long as there's clarity and consistency in the decisions.

Will Young looks devestated getting out to the part time spinner. Big wicket for England,

Good day for NZ overall, but that wicket at the end was critical. Roll on tomorrow!

Brutal, Young out to Lawrence four balls from stumps.

NZ still won the day but that puts a lot of pressure on Taylor to kick on tomorrow after Conway and Young both got out softly looking set for big ones.

Dammit. England get the wicket they needed 229-3.

Black Caps the much better team but lack the ruthless edge to shake England off.

Definitely NZs day. With 7 in hand we should still be looking good for 400-450.

And Patel will be smiling seeing the part timer pick up a wicket on the second day.

BCs have a huge chance to bat long throughout tomorrow, post a massive score and put this game beyond England. I hope they seize it.

Pitch looks awesome to bat on. We should aim to be no more than 2 down at the close.

    Take a walk mate

It was a good prediction until 4 balls from stumps

500+ is still on I reckon.

It really hinges on Watling and Taylor - the pitch suits Watling if he gets stuck in IMO.

This was a very good performance all things considered - they survived a seriously good spell from Broad in the second session.

Watling is injured. Nicholls and Blundell, yeah
