I commend you, old bean, on speaking as a loyal subject should when looking in on how the lads are doing against the auld enemy in mother England, eh what?
That sentiment is encouraged by having just consulted ESPN Cricinfo scorecard and discovering the bloody drongos there have surrendered and now list the batsmen as "batters"! Aaarrrggghhh!
Cheerio then, tally ho, pip pip and all that!

I'll be surprised if there is any play today at all. I'm about 50k south of Lords which is the direction the weather is coming from. It's not stopped raining all morning and continues to drizzle now.
In better news, the forecast for Saturday / Sunday is superb. Won't lose any overs and will be able to make up some.

Stink there wasn't any play @nzzp, yeah it totally feels like a draw unless shit goes sideways. Then again if there is still a lot of moisture in the pitch when they resume we could see some spicy bowling conditions.

I'd be happy for them to get through a decent body of work, perhaps under less pressure to iron out some kinks and get used to the ball and conditions.
But I know you're trying to look on the bright side of a bummer situation 🙂
