Highlanders v Reds

Do the Reds still have a hangover or are the 4th NZ team really better than the Aussie champs?
I’d say they are pretty tired and a few are missing.
Having said that, this Landers team is quite far away from fielding their best team either.

The gap in skill set is already showing between Aus and NZ teams. The Reds are really missing the likes of Wilson & Petaia. They might need to bring Vunivalu on fairly soon into that second half to try and spark something.

I’m not that familiar with the usual Reds lineup but this lot look like they just met. Rookie halfback is a good player but not in sync.
Not sure why they aren’t smashing it up at angles close in. I’m sure BBBT will be giving them the message about getting out of their half and stop trying to play cute in attack. -

I think Gilbert is our six fullback this year
Hunt, ioane, nms, Gilbert, CGB and alaimalo...
Similar numbers on the right wing and midfield

@gt12 played schoolboy stuff 10, 12 and 13.
Only been at NPC and super they put him at 15 where he shouldn't be.
TUJ and Gregory for a 2022 midfield doesn’t look terrible. They need a power winger to complement Nareki, although Gilbert could be a BFA style 14 if he keeps developing.

I really thought the reds would have been better....
It's going to be a cricket score in Sydney
They haven't picked their strongest team tbf.

I'll never understand why the fuck they tap then kick it out.
Get the ball closer to the line so to kick for more distance

Well they traded extra territory for possession
Yep, territory has been working for them so far. Better than your own throw just outside the 22.
