    NO LIFTING IN THE LINOUTS

oh, wati ... as you were

Hard to tell as the photo quality isn't the best but that could just be an old shot of Caleb Ralph.

The legend of the cart horse lives on

@chris-b i can see your line of argument but I don't think they will put JB at wing again but they won't start without him so I doubt they'd start BB at 15. Then again I've been wrong before, I mean I wanted a Crusader to coach the ABs, what was I thinking!?

I don't think they'll put him on the wing again either (I'll be heading for the "Fozzie Must Go" bandwagon if he gets played there ahead of Will Jordan). But, I also don't see that he's indispensable - I could readily see a team with Jordie on the bench - or even missing out on that to DMac.

Biggest puzzle is fitting RM, BB, Dmac and JB into the same 23.

Maybe we could ask John Hart what to do?

the harsh reality is, not a single one of those players is so good that they absolutely must be in the 23.

I can only think of 3 players in the whole country to who that applies.

Did you hear Razor on tv last night? He apparently talking to NZR and reckons if it works he will be staying with Crusaders for another couple of years. Seems maybe he in line for ABs then, if not before?
On the JB thing, I suspect he will be at 15 , Jordan on wing (which is where he is better I think). Could be DMac at 15 but I reckon you'll see them both there at some stage this year , and RMo and BB sharing 10.

not sure that sounds that great TBH, so he is staying with the 'saders, meaning Fozzie stays at the helm for the ABs?

That said, Fozzie is surely checking into the last chance saloon and has to hit the field running, well, his team need to if he wants to keep his job, surely...I really hope there is nothing signed until at least Aug/Sep.

Not sure I'd like to see that. But just to defend Fozzie, he's been what I expected.

    What I'd select

    A Smith
    Beauden
    Clarke
    Jordie
    ALB
    Rieko
    Jordan

Mo'unga and DMac on the bench to rip shit up against a tired defense.

    Unstoppable.

Trouble is that I donโ€™t see a creator in there. Lots of Players that can create something from nothing if given the opportunity and a bit of luck but not someone that creates opportunities against organised defence.
RM is the closest we have to that then DMac because of the way he changes up the picture chiming in from the back.

Foster is way too conservative and limited in vision to
    try Jordie at 12.

    Prove me wrong Fozzie !!!!

I don't mind your starting XV, but not for the first up tests.

Beaudy's gone off to Japan to tout his wares, so he can bide his time. I'm of the opinion that Richie is a better first five now anyway - but, it's hard to be definitive. I haven't seen Beaudy play there for a significant period for a couple of years.

I definitely think Jordie could be our best 12 - but, he hasn't played there for several years, so I don't think he warrants the experiment unless the Canes are willing to shift him for the Trans- Ta$man stuff.

Will Jordan on the right wing.

To be honest, only Aaron Smith is locked in. ALB will be in the XV, but could be 12 or 13.

LOL RM and DMac both have a history of shitting the bed against an organised defense. No way are they "creators", we haven't had one of those since Carter and Cruden were at the helm.

Both those guys are best suited to the bench at test level.

Really hope RM can take his best form from SR into internationals. At the moment he is still behind BB for me for 10.

Anyone reckon Pita Gus Sowakula has a chance of a call-up?
He's looked bloody good when he has come on for the Chiefs.

I think he would be worth a look but the loose forward market is quite crowded. Those currently in form, those identified last year and those that have been injured.
If we want a big man to get over the gain line off the scrum he's an option
