In the Chiefs "Pick your XV for the final" competition I got 14 of the starting XV right and 22 of the 23. I had PGS on the bench and Ah Kuoi starting, and Stevenson ahead of Tiatia in the reserves. Tiatia is the coaches pet though.

    Pretty much the expected.

Sowakula getting rewarded for last week as is Kapeli.

I assume that Tiatia will go 15 when DMac moves to 10 but would still like to see ENS with licence to come up as a surprise option.

    Chiefs by heaps.

(Heaps means more that the Saders)

I don't think Trask has really grabbed his opportunities tbf.

Can't say Gatland has been great but once he gets past his terrible starts he usually goes OK. Those starts are shocking though.

I don't think Trask did himself any favours against the Blues. He spilled a few under the high ball and threw some poor passes, albeit playing at fullback.

I'm curious to see how McMillan uses his bench with this team. Ah Kuoi to replace Brown and Kapeli for Sowakula or Boshier.

@crucial the bench lineups seem a little tilted the Crusaders' way.

    Saders by plenty.

Huge difference in class between the teams right across the park.

Our second row isn't big enough and our lineout will struggle, and with our exit problems, we'll likely serve up too many opportunities to get close.

I'm so pleased with the team for making the final, but I have no hope that they will win.

So fuck em, go win it.

It's not the bench lineups I am worried about. The prospect of TJ and Marshall commentating this terrifies me. Nisbo getting everyone's names wrong will be preferable.

Bloody stoked with that chiefs team. Dmac in at 10 in the second half to close it out after a dominant first half.

Also interesting they keep Jacobson at 8 (usually a 6) and PGS at 6 (usually an 8). Is this calls from higher up to give LJ more time at 8 for later in the year?

Yep. That he was at fullback probably impressed Clayton even less, given that's where he played him all NPC.

Either that, or that Stevenson runs even more hot and cold than Tiatia 🙂

Would've thought that Chiefs would have gone for it and put DMac at 10. Gatland is a big step down.

LJ has played at 8 the last part of the comp hasn't he? Made a bloody good fist of it too, so I reckon it is a good move to leave him there even with PGS.

I was going to ask if LJ played 8, it would be a good idea regards AB positions...

I thought they might go with Ennor's greater experience over Leicester's match play, but not a big surprise that they didn't.

The legend of Ennor really has grown hugely while he's been injured eh. He's not exactly some old vet! Only really one season over Faingaanuku.

Out of interest it's a 2 hour drive from Braydon to Leicester.

Yeah. Stevenson hasn't moved to BOP yet. 😉

McMillan did say at the start of SRA that they prefer Jacobson at no.8 so he can get his hands on the ball more. PGS can also have some handling errors off the back of the scrum. Or near the goal line. 😠
