Much better from zarn
Would've liked Ioane to give him a one on one earlier.
Rieko still has the winger mindset of going himself every time

"Oh another one! Blues have said that they scored but the ref says that they were short.
I assume that now the TMO will say that the try was not scored but that last Tuesday one of the Chiefs players crossed a road without waiting for the lights so it’ll be a penalty try and red card"
An Ozzie view
Show me the law where it's a red card for jaywalking.

@gt12 it did go forward , just the 1980s pixilated screen the tmo uses its tough to see
I know it did too, but my understanding is that was not the ruling.
If so, why uphold the challenge?

These referrals need to be binned
Got the right decision earlier.
Only if they ruled that the ball went forward, which is what the Captain’s challenge is for.
I can't see much benefit from them. Even if you have clear rules about these referrals where you have to be specific about what you're drawing to the referee's attention so that anything else can't be judged in retrospect. But even then people will get up in arms about a clear transgression not ruled on.
It's a no win situation.

Easily the worst game in two Super Rugby Aotearoa seasons.
Awful.
But high on comedy value.

@gt12 i dunno, is the challenge dependant on you being correct in your call or is the challenge that the ref missed an infringement/error how it works?
End result is referrals suck balls
You would hope it is the captain’s correctness or you can just guess.
