All Blacks jersey sponsor

not sure if this is still the best place to put this
interesting, have to say i never came across them whilst in construction in NZ so they must very much be looking at that global brand aspect

Fuck can we just get Steinlager back on the jerseys ðŸ˜
No fucking way, Mohad's piss is better to drink
Hashtag wrong thread, but I'd still rate Steinlager Pure as the best beer on the planet.

@majorrage that's a weird way of spelling Waikato Draught.
Upvoting for the laugh, certainly not the accuracy.
Can guarantee there are some seriously angry CBW's floating around.

It's no Delirium Tremens or one of many other truthfully better beers, but I have to say that when I found Steiny Pures for sale here online I bought 96 bottles in an instant.
Standing on the deck with my old man, grilling steaks and drinking Pures is one of the greatest small joys in life.
I really want to go home now

I reckon the colour is more important than the size. Anything other than white & black is going to look odd.
The Steinlager logo just about got away with it because it was about half the size of a beer mat, but these days anyone paying that kind of coin is going to want full coverage

Vodafone is the same as Vodacom, right?
Vodafone (who can't spell and shouldn't be allowed to parent anybody) are the parent / majority shareholder in Vodacom.
Oh really? I always thought Vodafone was what the German Jedi masters used to call home with.

id love to talk to a marketing type person about these kinds of things, ive often thought a sponsor would endear themselves to the supporters hugely if they opted for a small one on the arm or on the right chest and adidas moved to the arm (like cricket does now), would thin there would be lots of good press and maybe more sales, i havent bought a jersey since AIG was stuck on it

@kiwiwomble My only AB jersey is a 1997 CCC version with the Steinlager logo. I've no need for an Adidas jersey.

I still have my pre steinlager jersey, just CCC and Fern. It is bloody shabby now tho!

Now, that is a true classic. Only about a 1 year window to have purchased that. 1993.
The steinlager logo was pretty bad IMO. I have zero nostalgia for that. Can't put red on an All Black jersey.

Yeah that makes sense, but I think the problem is you're in a minority. The dedicated AB fan who understands and appreciates the importance of the black jersey is probably of little importance to the advertisers. There are far more eyeballs in the US, Aus, Japan, UK etc that need to see a big logo for them to get good return on their advertising dollar.
In short, your team is too successful. Try being crap for a decade or two, and then you won't have all these multinationals clamouring to deface your precious jersey

Honestly I don't mind sponsor logos, I feel jerseys look naked without them. Probably coz I'm younger than all of y'all so I'm just used to it.
Hated them at first, but I've got used to it now. But I do look forward to the RWC jerseys every 4 years, they're a little more special for not having sponsors on them
