@gt12 I was taking a piss, but did he say something about the girls in the kitchen? 🙂

Thanked the guys in the kitchen for the feed, after starting with ‘It was a game of two halves, full credit to the boys’

And finished with ‘time for some Kentucky since its Bye week’

@kirwan don't worry, Ruru or Christie will start next week, no need for a combo to build at 9-10

We looked a lot better when Ruru came in. Nock was slow to the ruck and kicked poorly.

Much more urgency when he came on. Started running from the base too.

Strange game when Ruru injects some pace and accuracy to the play.

Half the problem for the Canes is that there is no media here in Wellington holding these coaches to account. Piss poor tactics, poor selections and 4 losses.

It’s the worst it’s ever been at the Hurricanes but the coaches somehow get a contract extension. Fucking La La land.

Ruru has played plenty, it’s Nock and Christie fighting for the bench.

@kirwan Point is, none of them have started consecutive weeks, how are they supposed to build a combo with the 8/10 when you chop and change especially when Rurus game is quite different to the other 2.

Edit - I already mentioned in this thread Ruru backed up round 2/3, IMO should have started even after his poor performance in round 3.

Geez I struggling to see anything in that game that you would use to promote the game.
What the hell is happening to the skills in our game here in NZ?

@kirwan you know training is vastly different to a live match.

A couple of Blues trys were great. Reikos outside break and sweet pass was as good as you’ll see. Perofeta’s step was also great.

And the Blues defence was top drawer.

Stats show we only let in 2 linebreaks. Last week we let the Chiefs make 16 linebreaks.

Kept their main threats quiet for the most part.

Perhaps, but it’s a step in building combinations. Can only judge the players on how they go when they get on the field.

Seems pretty clearly Ruru, Christie and Nock in that order. Nocks been around too long to kick like that.

The most bs penalty try + YC I've seen in a long time.

I'm forever asking refs to hand out more PT and cards for deliberate infringing on mauls in the red zone. That's not the example to display. Pickerill is an extremely poor referee.

    That decision was on Williams.

@dan54 yeah NZ Rugby could be in huge trouble. The flow of the game and the way it’s been officiated is putting a lot of people off.

I’ve got plenty of friends that used to watch footy religiously but now most of them don’t even bother.

Compare rugby now to back in the 2000s and it’s actually pretty sad viewing.

@bovidae the decision to YC Ardie was spot on from Paul Williams..just seen snap shot picture of Ardie pulling the maul down ..He is on his Knees when pulls it down therefore the official was spot on ..your on the ground you out of the game ,that’s why it collapsed short of the line ..The Sky Commentary team got it so wrong and the AR was spot on this ..this not even a debate

@steven-harris clearly released and went again on the ball carrier. It looked really harsh, but I can see why they gave it

@steven-harris I agree. Savea took the maul down before the line. You see Williams talking to Ardie as he leaves the field.

@nzzp it was the correct decision, both YCs were on the money ,in fact Pickerall only penalised each team 9 times ..the scrum penalty against the Blues on their own feed was correct,,even though you have the dominant scrum ,you can’t screw it or collapse it
