Ofa T needs to tighten up his technique. Too many cards.

Would like to see Nock and Faiane starting. Maybe a different lock at 5. Robinson at 6, with A Ioane at 8 is worth a look.

Good to see Papalii has recovered.

Parker covering lock says it all. Don't see the Chiefs winning this.

That’s a very strong Blues team IMO

Battle of the 7s is going to be titanic. Both solid hitters.
Getting rid of Ruru may mean that his limitations are being recognised as holding back the attack. Plummer gives them a bit more game management ability.
Chiefs better hope on not having many scrums in the last 20 minutes.
Really doubting my Chiefs optimism now.

Edit: especially after seeing the team.
(I typed the post then got distracted )

Dalton and Ofa are pretty tall, not sure Ofa will ever quite fix his tackling technique or judgement (it's been a few years now) and I wonder how Dalton can scramble and lower his body given his height and speed-is he a natural 7 or a 6/8 that covers? (Actually, is he a potential 8? too many in that position at the Blues?)

    A better Blues lineup.

Ruru seems to be held to a different standard to Nock which is annoying.

the problem with Christie is that both he and Black aren't big defenders. Playing those two means you need a solid 12 and a big loose unit.

Hope they step up. Blues by a THOWSAND

Why is it that Leon MacDonald doesn't seem to rate Nock?

@kiwimurph Especially after Ruru giving away two really dumb, and ineffectual, penalties last game.

@yeetyaah How typical. Blues at full strength bar Eklund while Chiefs dropping like nine pins.

@tim not to mention Ruru's poor service which really held the Blues attack back on the weekend.

Dalton has the running lines and anticipation of a 7. Jackling is getting to be a rare part of the game now and he can be effective in that regard in the situations that it can happen.
Stopping attacks before the gain line is way more important under the current game management. Once a team gets a roll on they are difficult to legally stop and you need to harass them into an error.

Is the game the battle for one finals spot if you assume the Crusaders are one finalists.
