@mofitzy_ Too little too late should’ve been on the bench against the Blues and Crusaders. But hey what do I know.

A Canes team without Blackwell starting looks so wrong...

All the leadership missing with him out will surely spell doom to the Horrorcanes.

@higgins What about all the height we lose to without him.... I’m absolutely flabbergasted that the coaches had the guts to make wholesale changes, If they’d swapped Prinseep for Flanders and Billy Floptor for PUJ I’d be happy

@mikey07 No worries as we have still got Ardie and S Scrafton (at least for the twenty minutes or so before he gets injured again). I'm picking they will be throwing heaps to R Prinsep at the back as he has to be in the team for additional reasons apart from his leadership.

what is PU-J not doing well enough? Impressed me from what I saw of him. Didn't think NZ was that overrun by quality midfielders...

@nostrildamus Yeah but the coaches love there next best thing in Proctor maybe trying to justify why he had a 5 year Canes contract.

@nostrildamus His ABs spot must be in serious jeopardy if he is unable to oust Proctor from the starting position in the Horrorcanes.

@mikey07 ah thanks, so the reason is the local Proctorologists. Poor guy, must feel a bit shafted.

Interesting regards AB13: while they play Goodhue at 12, PU-J is only competing against ALB perhaps, RIOane seems to have some distrib/vision issues? (I must have forgotten someone)..surely Ennor is not likely given he is still coming back from injury and green?

Completely confused as to why PUJ remains on the bench. He outplayed or matched every opponent he came up against last year and the thanks he gets is a seat on the pine? These coaches really know how to knock a young players confidence.

Brown said neither Alaimalo nor Milner-Skudder were in the selection picture for the Hurricanes game, with Alaimalo “unwell” and a few weeks away from playing.

“He's still a few weeks off coming back in and being at his best,” Brown said. “He's actually a bit unwell at the moment, so we're not able to select him.”

To be fair he has been decidedly average so fat yhis year though, and perhaps that may have something to do with the 9-10 combo. Be loody hard to shine outside them!

@dan54 yeah but Proctor hasn’t exactly been amazing. In fact Umaga-Jensen has probably shown more offensively than Proctor, he’s just not seen as a Holland favourite within the Hurricanes camp so therefore remains on the bench.

Leger starting. Love debut on the bench.

Negatives: Flanders again on the bench instead of starting; PU-J on the bench and Proctor starting.

Positives: Rakete-Stones getting an opportunity, replacing Armstrong on the bench; no James Blackwell and Julian Savea!

IWL has the sole Magpies starting spot this week. We should just be happy they squeezed Rakete-Stones AND Flanders on the bench.
