    @nzzp oh I agree, just saying it has been used by Stuff before, so unsure where they have picked up this new meaning for it from.

    Pierce, Choat, Robinson, Nock, Faiane, Narawa to start next game.

    @machpants Where? I've never seen it before. Hinton loves American sports; is it common in American sports media?

    Maybe it is in UK media? I am certainly aware of having read it before. Still a pointless use of the word but so is learnings

    Not in UK. Mind you when someone is grassed in the tackle they are said to hit the floor, rather than ground.

    I am starting to see what others having been seeing about Papalii. I do wonder what position will be his best in the long run, especially at AB level. He seems a cross between a 7 and a 6 to me.

    Great guy to have in a RWC squad. Like a cross between Kaino and Cane. Wouldn't be upset to see him start at 6/7 if Cane or whoever the 6 is was injured. If he goes ok at 8, he could take Ardie's bench spot when he leaves after the RWC...

    @tim
    Pierce, Robinson and Choat? Won't happen. 2/3 maybe with another on the bench.

    Darry is more likely to come in than Pierce.

    I'd have Kneepkens in 14.

    Kneepkens is class. Heem was fine, but Kneepkens seems like he has more magic about his play.

    hopefully this was a learning conservative selection. We've only got to do two things to win the comp remember

    1. get to final
    2. win final

    No chance of a home final now, so you may as well beat the crusaders once only. Kind of like France v the ABs in RWC; it only takes one good game

    Wonder how many more reckless cleanouts he can do in that time?
    10?

    @kiwimurph thanks.

    Of the two incidents, I'd put Ofa's worse by some margin. Eklund was stupider, as it clearly contravened the framework - but the risk was pretty low

    Edit: Penalty on field = Red (Kurt)
    YC on field = Penalty or less (Ofa)
    edit edit, ok so they sound like Yellow wasn't wrong

    I still have the feeling that Ofa's "technique" is going to cost us big time in a test match, one day. It seems he was just lucky, this time, that it was his arm making first contact with the shoulder, and not his shoulder making first contact with the neck/face. With how the game is officiated in the NH, he's probably going to see a red card if he does this in a test match with a NH referee.

    I agree, needs to change.

    That said, Scooter needed to get his hands off the damn ball!

    @stargazer This also feels like an example of the new World Rugby framework relating to Head Contact Process that came into effective earlier this month being applied.
