    The positives of that Canes' line-up: Numia starting ahead of Armstrong, Campbell ahead of Taumateine.

    The negatives: many, but particularly not starting Flanders, Leger at 10, PU-J on the bench and starting Proctor; O'Reilly on the bench instead of Thompson. Visinia should have been in the 23 instead of either the Bus or Goosen. Still no Toala. Grrrrrrrrrr

    You could probably add Gareth Evans to your list of angsts as well. Would R Prinsep even make the HB contracted players list let alone the matchday 23 given we have some big huas in the team that are not often seen on the pitch?

    @higgins I'm still not quite sure whether Evans is injured or not. That's why I didn't mention him. If Evans is fit, I'd prefer: a backrow of Evans, Ardie and Flanders, with Kirifi on the bench. I guess we'll have to wait and see who are playing for the Hunters on Saturday.

    @yeetyaah Preferably with a hat-trick from Lowe. 😃

    The Chiefs must be kicking themselves don't have T Falcon as an option as well. Come to think about it you could almost say the same about the Hurricanes but their inability to select appropriately is so ingrained in them that it will take a miracle for that to change.

    @higgins Yes he’s another one that was a starter last year and has yet to be seen. I think the fact Ardie has been playing 8 for the ABs has brainwashed the Canes coaching staff.

    I was always a fan of Falcon , too higgins, not sure why they let him go.

    look at all you Hurricanes fans falling over each other to declare yourselves underdogs and the Chiefs, a team that hasn't won a game since before COVID fucked everybody's lives up, as morals.

    I almost miss the unbridled overrating of your squad. almost.

    @mariner4life The Chiefs have the better coach and squad; just lacking the confidence.

    @dan54 He spent an awful lot of time on the injured list which probably did not endear himself to them all that much.

    @higgins Falcon had his injuries when he was already at the Chiefs, not before. He signed with the Chiefs when the Canes first signed JGB.

    @stargazer No wonder Falcon was not able to secure a super contract in NZ if he was rated inferior to JGB when said player was snapped up by the Hurricanes. The other Super Rugby selection panels are obviously just as stupid as the Hurricanes ones have been over the years if they believe in that fallacy.

    We just see the writing on the wall unlike the Canes coaches with their poor selections.

    @mikey07 Poor would be a polite way to describe them. Perhaps stupid, rediculous or non sensical would be more accurate.

    @higgins Like I said mate I’ve lost the faith for the first time ever I hope we go 8-0. Doubt it’ll get us a clean out of coaches though.

    Especially as the coaches just got their contracts extended.
