loving the wind shadow grahics
I've been thinking for some time why the hell they didn't have something like that.
Also - a simple graphic showing wind direction. All in all - the
WWEAmericas Cup organisers have listened to the criticisms about how boring it's been, and the sorely lacking coverage-graphics - and re-written the match scripts to add some excitement, as well as finally providing some of the basic graphics/info one would expect.
Well done Vince. -

@canefan yeah, we seem to be able to make up 150m with little trouble but kimmy has always spotted it and been on top to give us some bad air
Who had the starting advantage? Need one win minimum to put them to the brink

pass and building!
-
70m behind at the last cross before the gate and now 430m ahead

We seem to be faster than them. But Jimmy is keeping us at bay. One mispicked shift and it could be anyone's

This is what I remember the racing being like back in the "good old days".... but, probably rose-tinted glasses and a stupid kid's memory.
Constantly taking advantage of the right-of-way rules, pushing boats out way beyond the ley-line before scooting back in yourself, creating "dirty air" whenever possible, but quite often taking risks on different sides of the course. -

That was super. Jimmy sailed a pretty smart race until leg 5.
One more to go!
It's not over. But the lady is warming up
Did I see something about some sort of attempt to recreate that, but with Six-fucking-60?
Jesus... the 80s could get away with it... nowadays, with shit bland music, it'll be bloody cringeworthy. In fact - the coverage in general is super-cringey. At least with the lockdown coming back in effect for a little while - we were spared coverage of some "reporter" out in the crowd trialling different icecreams, hot-dogs, whatever. Oh - and "let's cut to our mate on a boat in the harbour, chatting with some boozed up insipid fluffybunnies".
