@kirwan i was with you until the last line, thats just not true, as @Crucial said, you can throw it over your head and it wont go forward...and there is every angle between that and lateral/90 degrees, its not a case of a single degree off directly behind you and if will fly forward
@winger is right though, it would be a big change, maybe too big, too much to ask for player to run so much deeper
I think he said it can. ??
Player running forward at 5m/s, throws it back over his head at 3m/s, ball travels forwards at 2m/s.
I think you said you were a surveyor? You dig vectors then.
i said he said it can didn;t i?
i am and i do, i was always taught the rue the ball will always beat the man, as in you pass faster than you can run so if im running at at 5m/s i would expect to be able to throw it faster than that
I think we all just agreed to move on without actually saying
You may indeed rue that-I am not sure I can pass faster than Rieko can run..

The try looks better every time I see it. Running it from your own line after a great turnover, Akira makes a great run and shows pretty spectacular vision and passing skills, and Reiko sprinting to get into position and then burning off the defenders.
O for Awesome.
Plus Akira showed great acceleration for a big man..
Yep, was pulling away from Josh Ioane. Impressive.

Hasn't Josh Ioane gone backwards form wise!

Very disappointing, he was clear third flyhalf last year. I think Black has leapfrogged him now, been very happy with what I've seen from him.

Is this like calling my name and I'll randomly post immediately after?

Given the obvious increase in social media "engagement " by fans after these ( pretty regular) refereeing issues, I wonder if strong incentives to fix these issues actually exists.
Every year there are untold viable suggestions to improve the processes that lead to howler or confusing decisions. An entire half of the last world cup was played with different interpretations and then never used again.
In short, I hate to question the purity of professional rugby, but having inconsistent and confusing law interpretations sure does ramp up the clicks. Modern day currency for the business side of the sport.
Not suggesting they purposefully stuff things up, but I do wonder if the marketing department is more important than the refereeing department.
Maybe the administrators don't prioritise fixing the reffing as much as we do🤔
Or is everyone just goofing off at rules meetings?

So Bryce Lawrence has admitted mistakes but in a very strange statement that didn’t admit mistakes. Can’t find the quote to get wording right but apparently they will own it and get better.
Oh. No apology to teams or fans either. They really can be their own worst enemy at times. -

The pass to Akira was forward.

Oh. No apology to teams or fans either. They really can be their own worst enemy at times. The refs review happens tomorrow. So maybe there’s a more coherent comment after that
"As we do every week, we will have our official referee team review session 36 hours after the completion of the last match, which allows us to go through both matches, share our thoughts with teams and get feedback from the coaches, and assess our collective performance," he says. "Just like the players, we set high standards, we strive for excellence and we're passionate about the game. We will own our mistakes and keep learning. "We are committed to being better next weekend."

Cheers. I will wait until their 6am meeting tomorrow has finished before further criticism

@tim Look at the length and accuracy of that pass, amazing considering he was sprinting while he passed it.
outrunning a back.
Also, how good was the 'don't argue'. One of the best tries I've seen live in ages (first proper game in a year or so, of course ) As I said in the match thread, Rieko came from nowhere - used his gas to get in position, but then had a lot of work to do to wrong foot the defender and gas everyone.
Absolute quality. Still pissed that it didn't get awarded.
