do we have to play Boult and Southee in absolutely every game?
No.
People have issues with leaving Southee out as much as they do with with keeping him in, unwinnable contradiction, so I'm staying away from that.I do want CDG and Ferg to get a run. They have been good and offer something a bit different.

Southee is the 5th best test bowler in the world currently which pleases me immensely......unfortunately he’s the 39th best ODI bowler.....ouch.
Give other guys a run. What’s Matt Henry up to ?

Heath Davis once bowled a pie in a Wellington club game. I know cos someone I met at a bbq who was a mate of a mate told me.
What a waste.

Madman.
True story I hear, but what a madman
Yes I’ve heard some rather odd yarns about him.

Henry is actually a pretty damn good white ball bowler as long as you don't try to bowl him at the death.
I would say our first 11 ODI is the one that played the World Cup final:
So in the first game replacements for current injuries will probably be:
-
Conway plays for Kane
-
Mitchell (or maybe Young but I doubt it) for CdG
-
Southee or Jamieson for Ferguson.
We have only actually played 4 ODI's since the final which is crazy!

I hung out with him for a few nights in Nelson about 92? You've only just reminded me. Good fun cat. Always up for mischief and heaps of energy going from one pub to the next, chasing substances more than birds. Ultra athletic and coordinated. Used to glide along the ground effortlessly and defo was very quick Friendly to everyone and brutally honest about himself- you know one of those guys who tells you incriminating things about themselves without fear of judgement. Was part aboriginal i think he said and had these pale blue eyes which could change exotic into psycho in a blink🙂
Sorry, can't remember any outrageous antics or details but there would have been some. Another sorry that this post is me staring out the fern pub window mumbling to myself while you guys at the table talk cricket😒 -
Davis moved to Brisbane, Australia in 2003 and he is involved with cricket coaching. In 2008, he suffered a workplace accident while driving a forklift. As a result, half of his left foot had to be amputated.[1] He remarked about accident "I didn't want to remember all the no-balls that I bowled through my career. So I decided to do something permanent about it...
Someone who probably needed a lot more wrap around than what coaching offered in those days.
