TNZ looked good in the pre-start and sailed a solid race. These conditions were more in Luna Rossa's sweet spot.
That has to be demoralizing
Bruni said that TNZ looks to be quicker upwind. The commentators think TNZ is faster in 12+ knots so let's hope for an increase in wind speed.
I reckon they weren't really pushing it in the second half of the race. Looked to be cruising (relatively) - I suspect there is more speed tehre if they need it
It looked that way for sure. Will be interesting if we do get behind to see what else they have in the bag.

Well TNZ lost the start, can we disprove the winning of the start is the winning of the race theory? If no team totally fucks up, I mean
They lost the start? They weren't in complete control for sure, but here wasn't a lot in it and they did get over the line ahead with better speed. I'd call that a win.

Race 2? Team NZ lost the start.

Looks like both boats about the same, speed wise. So it'll come down to winning the start, and not fucking up. Close series
going to be good. Hope TNZ win it though!
-
So this is the faster boat in conditions that suit it coming a clear second?
-
No think these conditions are more Luna Rossa then ETNZ.
But really itβs showing you have to win the start
-
7 seconds by the end, one more leg and it could have been interesting
-
Couple of sloppy gybes was the margin of victory.
That's as close as we've seen to date to a team losing the start but winning the race.
That last upwind leg was fantastic. Proper racing.
So the pundits predict that today was sort of the crossover zone between Prada (light) and TNZ's (heavier winds) suggested areas of strength.
Hasn't really told us much other than it shouldn't be a walk over.
You have to imagine TNZ have more improvement in them than LR.

Yeah we got crossed races there as I was on a slight delay. Race one to us race two to them at the start.
