@Machpants I'm nowhere saying that rugby is perfect, players are human after all, but league is notorious for thuggish behaviour in a way that rugby is not.
It was a stupid comment that you should probably either admit was tongue in cheek or delete it

@tim Everyone has always said it's the administration at NSWRU that's a monumental disaster. They're half-witted amateurs in a professional business.
There are unions threatening to leave NSW and join up with ACT and Southern NSW. I'm surprised they've stuck it out this long.

Paul Doorn had to talk Central West down from the ledge about 6 months ago. They get nothing from RA or NSWRU but keep paying "participation" fees.
Up in New England this weekend, Inverell 7s only had 2 refs scheduled for 2 solid days of rugby. I got an email this week asking the group for help. Unbelievable.
The problem with being the biggest union: having the most people means having the most dickheads, statistically speaking. NSWRU is all over the shop with the amateur game completely split from the semipro game completely split from the pro game. Then there are the multiple schools associations who fuck with junior club rugby all the time... jeez...
Smaller organisations like ACT have a laser focus on getting their shit together and ensuring their hierarchy is clear. The Reds realised they needed to streamline things and take advantage of initiatives like the NRC to rebuild their success
Davis has to go - retaining Board or ExCo for excessive time works out well for approximately no organisation, ever.

Andrew Ready suspended for 3 weeks
The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee has accepted a guilty plea from Andrew Ready of the Force for contravening Law 9.12: Striking, after he was Red Carded during a Super Rugby AU Match at the Weekend.
"With respect to sanction the Foul Play Review Committee deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of 6 weeks due to the World Rugby instructions that dictate any incident of foul play involving contact with the head must start at a mid-range level. However, taking into account mitigating factors including the Player's clean judicial record and pleading guilty at his first available opportunity the Foul Play Review Committee reduced the suspension to 3 weeks." "The player is therefore suspended from all forms of the game up to and including 26 March 2021. This includes the following fixtures: • Round 4 Western Force v Melbourne Rebels 12 March 2021 • Round 5 Reds vs Western Force 20 March 2021 • Round 6 Brumbies vs Western Force 26 March 2021.”

The Brumbies have a scheduled bye in Round 5 which does not count as a week for sanctioning purposes.”

Anyone else tried looking into this? Am I right to assume that if I can't find even a hint of a page to sign up on that the UK is excluded?
