So far a good claw-back from England after a bloody good start from NZ, although far from over just yet. I don't agree with TeWaio's view that this England side are mentally fragile, more that they're just not that good. Their chase v South Africa showed some bottle and in a different way scraping past the Bangles (Edit: D'oh! Afghans) after being rubbish showed a bit too. The issue with England I think is that the seam bowling is a bit samey and the spinners are not top drawer either. All the bowlers are OK but that's it really and as a unit if things aren't conducive there is little in the way of an option B.

Fuck me what a limp finish. With the platform Munro and Kane laid 180 should have been minimum. Stokes dishing up juicy full tosses and all we can fo is sky catches - frustrating.

Still, we have runs on the board so it is up to our bowlers to strangle the life out of them, which has been the blue print all tournament. Though I fear this pitch is a lot quicker them what we've been playing on, and the English batsmen have had plenty of practise on it. Will take a huge effort to win this now. -
Sound of a deflating forum.

Well! Aren't I the fucking jinx. First game I've watched and even then only turned on to watch Munro get out and it's been a disaster since

Not nearly enough runs after that good start - run a ball from 10 overs isn't going to win games on good pitches. Ah well, test cricket is what matters!

cricket season is so last month, rugby is where its at now, right?
-

I watched us bat, but I have to be honest I went back to bed during the innings break as I was fucking tired and thought we were 30 runs short of a competitive score on a quick pitch that would suit the English batsmen.

Definitely lost the match in the final 5 overs of our innings. We've been lacking lower order hitting for a while now, and it came back to bite us today on a very good pitch. England definitely had an advantage of playing on that pitch a few times in the lead up where we had been playing on very slow turning pitches. But credit to them, they bowled well at the death - especially Jordan - and deserved the win.

I'm proud of the boys, we beat both India and Australia on our way to the semi. T20 cricket can go either way on the night, and a few overs of bad cricket can cost you the match, which was the case this morning.
