2019 Rugby World Cup

@voodoo Yeah, there have been several reports in - particularly South African - media of doping in SA schoolboy rugby, the last few years. I've read a few of them. It's worrying, not just for the sport in SA, but also from a health perspective.
I've watched some of the games of the World Schools Festival for the last two years and some of these players were indeed HUGE compared to many of our players, which could not just be explained by a higher average age. It made me wonder ...
(Btw, the next edition of the WSF is from 24 to 28 March 2020; King's College will be one of the participating schools). Not sure whether it's happening across all schools, or whether it's mostly at specific, individual schools. I also don't know how common it is; don't remember seeing numbers.

So it might be semi official that Wales and England are joint de facto holders of the 2019 Webb Ellis Cup.
Neither de facto (the trophy is here in Cape Town as I speak) nor de juro given that we officially hold the title.
But whatever makes you feel better

This sort of suspicion just places an asterisk next to another of South Africa's RWC wins:
- 1995 - playing against a team suffering food poisoning. Still took extra time to complete.
- 2007 - Wayne Barnes.
- 2019 - steroid munching team.
Wayne Barnes! hahahahahahaha
The bitterness runs deep in that one.

Not joking. I'll never forgive him, the IRB and Paddy O'Brien for that disgrace. Any other sport there would've been an investigation into that level of incompetence.

Amen.
I still love rugby, but that was just wrong.

In the spirit of conspiracy theories....
NZ Wins:
1987 - Sth Africa didn't play, so not a proper RWC win
2011 - Donald's penalty didn't go over the bar
2015 - Scotland were robbed by Joubert in the 1/4's and NZ would have lost to Scotland -
