@Bones I watched that game, last night. Entertaining game. It looked like Clermont was going to give Bristol a terrible hiding, but they took their foot of the throat in the second half and let Bristol come back. It was a try fest with lots of running rugby, but terrible defence, leading to a final score of 51 - 38 (to Clermont). Indeed, Moala was named MotM. Bumping off quite a few opponents.

Great to see Moala looking so sharp for Clermont.

Toulon had Ma'a Nonu (38) and Isa Toeava (34) as their midfield against Sale.

Watched the Exeter v Glasgow game with some enjoyment. Really funny listening to the Scots commentator who was constantly talking up Glasgow. Funniest point was with about 15 minutes to go, Exeter 35-0 up and Glasgow having spent 1% of the game (or just over a minute) in Exeter's 22 "well it's not a rout".

    Rainbow Cup??

I wonder how long it will be before the travel thing gets bought up by the NH teams?

It only took about 15 years to come to possible fruition.

Irish, Scots, Italians and Saffers happy.

Welsh fans not - they want Anglo-Welsh League.

The Cheetahs always get shafted when SA is limited to only 4 teams in a competition. They are a breeding ground for future Boks with Grey College.

I got James Haskell’s book as a Christmas stocking filler. He’s very opinionated and therefore a bit marmite , but I’ve warmed to him over the past couple of years. There are quite a few old stories; some of which are very funny, laugh out loud. There are also insightful snippets around the politics of NH club rugby and England international stuff, as well as his time with the Highlanders.

‘What a flanker’ - certainly not the worst sports book I’ve read. I rather enjoyed it.

As Zinzan Brooke prepares for the 25th anniversary of the most remarkable drop goal ever scored at a RWC, the No8 finally has some good news for England.

Just been selected for the England U20 EPS. Not that they are in much danger of playing any rugby any time soon.

    Weird.
I think hooker is 2nd most important position after first-five.

Got to get your own lineout ball.

Hopefully the Mum's genes dilutes Zinny's genes.

4 and 5 at the top of the list...

I suppose the theory is that if the target is good enough they can get anyone to throw it?

I really think WR need to stop subs, water carriers or anyone other than the players on the field and officials doing anything other than watch.

I hate seeing subs rush into the in-goal to celebrate a try, or like this one, touch the ball which prevents the opportunity for a quick throw (even if it wasn't really on in this case)

@taniwharugby If a non on field player/support staff touches the ball to prevent a quick thrown in then it should be a penalty to the other team.

Absolute scumbag cheat behavior from that water carrier/trainer. Should get a permanent ban from professional rugby. Team should be punished too, and possibly docked points.
