Captain Cheater gets his leg bail clipped off.
Hears it.
Turns around and sees it.
Big step to the left to obscure the umpire’s view, then takes a little jog down the wicket, hoping someone would throw the stumps down and confuse everyone as to the fact that the wicket was already broken.
He is a dead set cheat, it’s innate, he knows no other way. Out there today his first instinct was to cheat.
The only difference between him and the grubby dwarf with a head like a robber’s dog is he’s sneaky.
Last time he didn’t want to know and, when he was found out, he attempted to sob his way out of it.
Their relevance will wane soon enough and their low grade character will ambush them eventually.

Quite the imagination.

Him and Warner blubbing like a couple of blouses was embarrassing for the whole nation. Did no one tell them to have some fucking dignity?

Bawling because they got caught is what children do, it is not remorse. So it was all very cringeworthy.
Moving on - what does a series win to India do to the test championship?
The series win doesn't matter, it is all about points. India have 7 games (including the current) left and need 150 points to make the final. 30 points a win, 10 points for a draw.
So 5 wins will get them through, as will 4 wins and 3 draws. Basically if India win this game, we need Australia to turn their fortunes around and England to draw at least one game when they tour India.

Without thinking about this too much, or trying to find out for myself, but have NZ (and others) been disadvantaged because we don't play as many tests? Or does the scoring system somehow allow for that?

It allows for that. 120 points for a series but it puts way higher emphasis on winning every test for us.
Excuse the formatting:
Matches in series. Points for a win. Points for a tie. Points for a draw. Points for a defeat.
2 60 30 20 0
3 40 20 13 0
4 30 15 10 0
5 24 12 8 0There is also some covid percentage thing that they were talking about when matches couldn't be played.

Good innings by young bloke. Lost his patience the
It’s his strongest shot but the ball rose on him causing him not to middle it.
-
@ACT-Crusader as the comms said tho: he gets out there a couple of times, and suddenly it's a weakness
-
mmm.... that looked pretty plum

I have been thinking for a while now that some sort of study around umpire's call would be interesting. I suspect the better teams and players would benefit more.
