I thought this was an interesting stat as a comparison after 17 tests played together.

I was trying to think of a better quartet for Oz in my lifetime and that one mentioned was excellent. Obviously when Lee came into the side in 99, the other 3 had all experienced quite a bit of success.

Light could be an issue. It’s gone pretty dark here in Melbourne.

The Aussie pace bowling trio are better than ours, dagnabit.

Aussie bowling quartet of Starc, Cummins, Hazelwood and Lyon is the best in the world by some distance.

Santner might get there ( guffaws loudly )

Between Gilchrist, Lee and Mark Howard, could the cheerleading of the Aussies get any louder...

Rahane with a lovely cut for 4 to bring up the ton. Brilliant batsman and hard not to like the guy as well.

Having said that: Peter Lalor is on ATM, proving why he should stick to print journalism.

India massively on top. Leading by 82 with 5 wickets in hand.

Aside from one horror sessions, they ahve dominated Australia in this series.

@nzzp Aussie bowling & fielding wasn't nearly consistent enough, and India capitalised on the luck they got that was completely absent in Adelaide.

I hope it rains in Melbourne for the next three days, although the forecast suggests otherwise.

How is getting bowled out for 36 ‘dominating’ ?
