Cmon the Chiefs cos they are a NZ side, cmon the jags cos I think my multi needs you...

Great game from both sides. Might be time for Rennie to cut his losses on Yamashita.

He is next to useless. Can't scrum. Offers nothing round the park. Laulala was a massive loss. -

Yeah, I can understand why he's not so keen to throw Moli right into the deep end but he doesn't really have much of a choice with how poor Yamashita is.

Great to see the Argie crowd stick around and clap for the players after the game.
-

The contrast between Pollock's reffing and that idiot last night in the Blues Reds game was huge, especially in such a cauldron atmosphere and a team waiting to show scrum dominance. As he said early on 'no, I'm not just going to hand out penalties when you haven't earned them'.

He had the respect of both sides and was confident enough in his decisions to explain them clearly without resorting to 'because I said so' type replies.

Look what an entertaining game we got out of his management. Well done Polly.

Chiefs are like the good guy in a corny action movie. They hang in there getting the shit beaten out of them then pull off the one last move to win the day.

9 points from that hell trip with such an injury list is very welcome.
-

Yup the biggest loss out of any side in our conference imo. If they had their best tight 5 fit I would back them to go all the way.
-

Yep, we have to be happy with that. I thought if the Chiefs went 2-2 in these first 4 games it would be a pass mark. 3-1 is a good return considering the Lions upset.

The Chiefs have scored at least 4 tries in every game so far so have no problem scoring points. Handling errors and errant passes meant a few other tries were squandered in this game.

The scrum remains a big work-on, but if they can just provide a platform for the backs on their own feed they can survive until Retallick and Bird returns.

ALB played really well so I'd stick with him at centre and Ngatai at 2nd 5.
-

I've never understood why ALB kept getting contracts, but I can see what some of the fuss was about now. He seems to have bulked up a bit too.

What's hard to understand? He was one of Wayne Smith's project players and was only 18 when he first made the WTG, so of course he was going to bulk up. I'm pretty sure they weren't intending on playing him in his first season or two anyway, they just wanted to bring him into the environment (which was probably their plan for Moli this year).

The promising thing about his performance today was that Tamanivalu hasn't put too many feet wrong either and did well in his cameo off the bench too. Midfield suddenly doesn't feel like much of a weakness anymore. The biggest problem areas are the front row and getting BBBR and Bird back.
-

The Jaguares need to beat what is a poor and far travelled Chiefs team at home to prove they really are a competition threat

The Jaguares' travel schedule is way worse than that of the Chiefs. Only thing that favoured them was the bye last week.

It will be interesting to hear whether Sam Cane is going to be cited for that high tackle that knocked out that Jaguares player. IMO he deserved at least a yellow card and not getting one may have influenced the final result of the game.
-

some pretty awesome tries in that match, it'd have been easy for the Jaguares to revert to the Argie forward dominated game, however like the Pumas more recently, they really are speeding up thier game and playing some attractive footy, hopefully they maintain thier traditional strength up front too.

In an ideal world, we'll have another Argie team in the comp (instead of the Kings) which will help to reduce thier travel which is gonna be a huge factor for them and the Pumas come TRC time.

Didnt think the Chiefs would get the job done with the pack they named to start, but they are looking pretty good, and ruined both my multi's for the weekend!
-

Just an accident unless he was meant to anticipate the players head dropping to where his chest was a split second before.
Slomo makes it look like he had lots of time to realise but he didn't
