Jordie just doen't fit this plan at all.
There's a plan?
There's a vision. And one day players will see it (according to IF).

this popped up in my feed, god how i'd love to just see some phases and pressure built
And he's trained to get closer to the posts, regardless!
Thanks for the blast from the past, great to see those players again, in form. -

Aaron smith was sensational, got to every damn ruck fast it seemed

and the passes that suddenly got the ball back into midfield, always finding someone that could get over the advantage line, their defence never had long enough to reset

Feel that the ABs need to play Laumape just to find out what they’ve got in a do or die game. His contract is up next year as I recall and at 27 years of age everyone involved needs to know what’s on the table.
Argentina defence is begging for someone to straighten instead of Petaia’s constant drifting. Maybe play him wide with Akira against the weaker defenders and let the wingers run some inside lines.Petaia? The Wallaby centre?
-
hmm actually we could do with a Crotty in the midfield. He had z ('zzzz') factor but he was under-appreciated IMO.
-
@nostrildamus I think he was meanign if anyone straightened instead of drifting LIKE Petaia did?
I'm not sold on Laumape as a starter, nor am I sold on JG at 12.
-
I see, I just was not sure. JG was the straightener. ALB can do it as well, possibly, it is a coach tactic thing. I don't know. But seems to me going straight up the guts was 70 min of stupidity.
That said, given the Wallabies claimed in their game the Argies were dead on their feet in the last 20, perhaps this weekend they won't be quite so tough. -
@nostrildamus yeah always on the cards that by this match, they'd be farked!
Hopefully not, as we want a good game not a blowout!

@nzzp yeah I have said it before, if he isnt there, we dont score that, just highlights the importance he is to the team, particularly when they want to play at pace.
And the ruck work to help Aaron get clean ball.
It still amazes me how it all came together in those circumstances - the passing, ruck work, no one dropped a ball, offloads at pace, wide cut outs,

The confidence in what they were doing and players being on the same page whether in close or out wide.
-
@mariner4life-"correct decision after correct decision"
-->looks at 2020 AB games, stop it, it hurts! -
the major tragedy for me this year is Jack Goodhue. Such a fine rugby brain, vision, selfless, hardworking team man, but just too darned slow at 12.
Can he be resurrected? -
