@mariner4life played against a dude one time, on a par 3, I hit mine to about 10 feet, he shanks his out of bounds, I'm grinning...he puts the next one in the hole, we halved it

@taniwharugby Looks like a few shit shots I have made over water hazards in my time - I must have heavier golf balls because they tend to sink rather than skip like that! Let alone make the green or the hole!
He should have at least acted embarrassed about claiming that. Total fluke.

Total fluke.
as are pretty much every ace...most often you are aiming for a part of the green rather than the hole specifically.

yeah, when it gets really dry up here, you can get some shitty shots with a great result.
Par 3, i hit what was a pretty decent iron that faded away and landed just off the green. felt pretty good about it though, had an easy chip on
My mate smacks his hard but tops it, and it shoots along the ground. I started laughing but the fucking thing kept going (elevated tee to elevated green). Rolled on to about a metre from the hole. He promptly drained the putt. Jammy prick (i of course topped my chip and went to the other side of the green and settled for a 5)

If you believe in fate/omens or whatever, then Tiger is where you should be looking.
According to TV1 News...
When Jack Niclaus won his 6th Green Jacket, he was ranked 33rd in the world, and did it 23 years after his first win.
Tiger is sitting on 5 Green Jackets, he is currently ranked 33rd, and 23 years ago, he won his first Green Jacket...

Probably not a popular opinion, but I'd love to see Tiger win it

A bit familiar for Tiger too...but this one is Taylor Swift apparently:
I would also like to see Tiger win it. If only for the omen thing.

Watching on Kayo in Oz, and it's the best golf coverage I've ever seen. Shot after shot after shot, barely any ads, a great variety of golfers. No filler, no lingering shots of the azaleas, no long interviews. It's how golf should be.
Justin Thomas is looking ominous.

what happened to Jordan Speith? It's only a couple of years since he was the guy. Now you just never hear about him, and he went 2 over today.

@barbarian must look great without all the people too!
-
@taniwharugby That's the slightly depressing element to it all. Patrick Reed played a phenomenal shot from the trees on the 9th and was greeted with only a smattering of light applause. It deserved a full gallery roar.
-
@barbarian yeah I guess theres that aspect as opposed to the constant 'get in the hole'

I believe you get ejected if saying that at The Masters. It's much more civil
