Dunno if I mentioned it, but bloody excited about Akira getting a start.

I'm extremely late to the party but I was really hoping to see an Akira - Cane - Sotutu trio with Ardie off the bench. I reckon that's our strongest loose forward configuration for test matches.

I might be wrong but I get the impression reading between the lines they rate sotutu very highly but are being cautious with his development being so young

@Daffy-Jaffy "New Zealand" not "All Blacks".

In trying to avoid Aura they enhance her.

It’s happened the whole series and not just from Hooper.

I haven't taken a lot of note of much of the media stuff. Pretty much first one I listened to and it was glaringly obvious.

The Team Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken just adds weight to the scariness factor.

Own who you are playing. Back yourself against any opposition.

Amuses me too. If you can't even say the name how on earth are you going to compete on the field?

It's like having a tennis match against Federer and calling him "that Swiss bloke".

A Swiss tennis player. Not noteworthy.

I would have thought that they would talk it up.

"Right, we are playing the All Blacks, the most succesful team in rugby history. We have to be absolutely perfect this week. No mistakes. Maximum effort from every single one of you. Win this and you all become legends".

    That sort of thing.

It's not as bad as the Cheika years.

Rennie always says All Blacks. I don't have any problem as our players don't always say Wallabies. But Hooper tries too hard.

This "All Blacks" versus "New Zealand" thing is becoming a bit silly TBH - you're starting to sound like QLDers putting themselves before Australia πŸ˜‰

You started it. Was it Eddie that was too afraid to say All Blacks?

As I said, quite amusing, and I don't think that it really bothers any of us. We've still got the same team.

@kiwiinmelb Thought it was earlier, but definitely a Cheika thing to do.

@mariner4life I remember that Clive (of the all conquering 2005 Lions fame) mentioned it first.
A Lions "fly on the wall" doco revealed that Clive and Alistair Campbell sent all the Lions off season preparation packs and included was a directive that they use New Zealand instead of All Blacks in their communications, in order to breakdown Laura.

    Worked a treat!

Oh. That rings a bell. He would have been working under Eddie (so to speak).
