@nzzp And wait. Later on in the game their tiring 120kg props just won’t be able to push up seamlessly in line with their backs over and over again. All you need is a moment when the front rowers are off the pace by half a meter and you’re through. Stay in touch until then and the chances of taking the game rise.

We're overlooking that BOD was a diving whiney bitch. Not Sexton bad, but pretty bad. Was a fan for a 3 week period in 2001.

I certainly haven't forgotten. Can't stand the guy, unfortunately he was actually quite good (as a player). So discount him because of dickheadedness?

BoD to me always looked better because his team was so shit house, so he really stood out. Here is also majorly fluffed up cos he was NH, and they were desperate for something over the years of SH dominance. I'll take Snakey any day of the week
Yeah, midfield / outside backs always look HEAPS better outside average packs and shithouse halves

How do you beat the rush defence then?
Same way you do in Lions 1 - attack the space just aroudn teh 10, angled runs, and very good hands. The rush leaves space behind - you have to be really accurate to make it work, but if you can hold a pass for a heartbeat, you can create some quality space
Yep, and this is my point. Picking really quick guy at 13 isn't really a tactical innovation to beat the rush defence, hence my comment about it speaking to poor coaching.

@MN5 Leon MacDonald? I'd guess you are referring to a burger in midfield but I only remember him as a loose forward. For the Boks anyway.
Its ironic to anyone who knows me that predictive text failed this of all possible names
