And I am getting roasted for it!
The oven's not even hot, this is more like sous vide warm.
We haven't even mentioned 6 fingers or banjos yet.
6 fingers are under rated. It's amazing what an extra finger can achieve.
The missus said the same thing

Thankfully no one ever bashes the 'Bush.
Phrasing not great there.
Oh right - rugby. How about this one from a couple of years ago:
https://times-age.co.nz/wairarapa-bush-crushed-wanganui/That is serious bush bashing by one of my heartland teams.
Fake news. Not a link to a learned Fern article so must be made up!

@Crazy-Horse Don't get too upset about it mate. Us Auckland/Blues fans have copped it for years and will cop it again once we lose form that's for sure especially from certain Canterbury/Crusaders fans.
Of course we're gonna dish it out when the roles are reversed even if it only lasts a short time
-
@African-Monkey not upset mate. My skin is a bit thicker than that Just think it's a pity some good potential posters may be getting put off.
There seems to be a dearth of Canterbury posters. Crusader/Canterbury threads seem to be the least contributed to, and their match threads are mainly the other team fans .
It's a shame because I think these are some interesting times for Canterbury/Crusaders. Young players leaving the province/signing for other franchises, no decent Crusader signings from the 'outside' for a few years, stale NPC team. Temporary problems or are we seeing the end of golden times?
-
@Crazy-Horse Can't you rely on Ta$man to buy some success for the Crusaders at least anyway?

Ta$man being Crusader feeding ground seems to be becoming a myth. I might be wrong but but it appears like there are just as many players from other franchises there now. Too lazy to do the count myself...

@Donsteppa Do you get in for free arriving at the game that much after kick off or were the gatekeepers still on duty?
Still on duty and had to buy a ticket - got to the entry gate at about the 25 minute mark.

@Snowy the ungracious fluffybunnies don't post here much any more...
That's not true. I still post here quite a lot!
Oh, you're talking about Cantabs.
As you were!

To be completely accurate - there's a lot of Ta$man players that have been signed by franchises other than the Crusaders!
Frankly, that's always been the case.

I remember as a kid watching the first half.of Bay games from the playground above the Domain and then going in at half time and sitting on the concrete seats under the bowls club

Kind of. The win was expected in my circles. The magnitude was not. But, great to see BOP has regained confidence on attack. Tiatia is a challenge for the opposition at 12 and the kicking game from Trask, Black, Campbell and Tiatia will be a worry for future opponents.
-
@ARHS man I wish the Canes gave Tiatia a crack in the 10 jersey. I know he's not playing there atm but he has the playmaking ability to open up good defences and he's shown that at 12.
I remember him jumping in the 10 jersey for Wellington when he first came onto the scene and he tore it up with every touch of the ball. Typical Wellington though, they failed to see his potential and he eventually went to BOP where he's shifted between 12/15.
-
@Canes4life I'm not sure Tiatia is a 10, even at NPC level. He plays on instinct a lot and the lower the level, the better he gets.

I'm a bit late, are we still dining out on this result??
In an odd way it feels par for the course given everything that 2020 has given the world. An unexpected thrashing of Canterbury after earlier losing to Taranaki and struggling to beat Southland
