@Duluth Burke seems to be their preferred first five now. Cameron can't make the starting line-up anymore.
It will be good to see Grace back in action, this weekend.
Not for me it wont, another black mark against Fozzie..keep those ABs away from playing my BoP team ha ha

23 DALLAS MCLEOD (Blazer Game)Burke I have a lot more confidence in than Cameron, hopefully he is the First Five option on the bench for the Crusaders.

1 Jordan Lay, 2 Kurt Eklund, 3 Jeff Thwaites, 4 Stan Van den Hoven, 5 Kane Le'aupepe, 6 Joe Johnston 7 Mitch Karpik 8 Sam Dickson, 9 Luke Campbell, 10 Otere Black (C), 11 Joe Webber 12 Chase Tiatia, 13 Mathew Skipwith-Garland, 14 Emoni Narawa, 15 Kaleb Trask
Reserves: Nathan Vella, Tevita Mafileo, Ross Geldenhuys, Scott Curry, Zane Kapeli, Leroy Carter, Dan Hollinshead, Cole Forbes

Surprised to see Tupe, Mewett, Carroll and Ware missing for a big game like this. Otherwise very happy with the lineup on form. TTT has been very good on defence, but Black seems to have more time and confidence outside Campbell and Carter, and the rest of the backline benefits. I like having Garland at centre and the threats on the wings. This might be a very good game.
Johnston and Van Den Hoven have looked useful, and hope to see them continue to grow. -
BOP looking good so far.
10 - 0 to BOP.
-
Looking even better now
15-3 BOP
-
Canterbury are finding it hard to get go forward on attack. They've lacked power players for a few years now.
-
Good call for the penalty try. One pass and they would score
22-3
-
Lmao Canterbury shitting the bed. Why didn't Webber give the ball 🤦
-
This ref means serious bad luck for Canterbury. Totally missed a BOP forward pass in the lead-up to that penalty try.
Having said that, Canterbury is mud and that has a lot to do with the coaching. The players are good enough; with a better coach they'd perform better.
-
Cam Stone and Pickerill definitely competing for the "worst NZ ref" award. NZR should look for better refs to replace them.
-
What's the story with the BOP 9? He's having a whale of a game.
-
Fuck why'd I pick Canterbury to win
-
Lmao Stone is so shit. Canterbury playing on the ground big time.
-
With Ta$man and Auckland still to play, Canterbury’s playoff hopes might go out the window in this game. They will also be in a fight for relegation if Harbour gets up against Auckland aswell.
Very strange indeed.
-
@Canes4life sounds good to me.
-
@Canes4life Otago might not be an easy game for them either.
-
How is that not a yellow card after those five in a row.
-
BOP too lucky here. That bounce of the ball ...
-
2020 just got weirder - a winger just threw in the line-out.
-
BOP kicking has been sensational.
-
Easy.
-
It's only Canterbury though.
-
In all seriousness, so this is where the Steamers side of 2019 went to...
-
Hoping BOP will be getting a bit over-confident / complacent for next week ...
-
Great consolation try from Grace.
-
thought we got lucky a few times with missed forward passes etc, but great control from Black and Trask overall and an impressive kicking game helps. Didn't see this result coming, but will happily take it
-
wow, did not see this coming.
Is this the result of decoupling Super and NPC level sides a few years ago? Canterbury used to have the Crusaders/Canterbury double signings - we haven't seen that for a while, and I wonder if the talent tap has turned off as a result.

Don't think we can get over confident the way Hawkes are playing! Looking forward to it though

Then creation of the northern Crusaders NPC side has had an impact

the Ta$man Vikings?
-
Clearly the Magpies broke Canterbury, now every Tom, Dick and Harry can beat them.

Only one Bay has beaten Canterbury this season and that was today...

I don't know why you're sticking your beak in, your lot lost to both teams regardless of their current names.
