@Kirwan so many things fell into place, but for me, the key to that try is Aaron Smith.
He was everywhere.
The thing that sticks out to me was our ruck work. Ireland really poured in on every tackle and we were able to secure ball.
Read’s no look pass back on the inside to Bender was just audacious in the circumstances

Hands up if the words "Gordon Hamilton 1991" brings back instant visuals?
Remember watching that game with the family and we were all gutted after that final Wallaby try. Good test match that.

96 Boks tour one that is burned in the old memory is from the first test - Wilson’s chip and chase down the right side off a scrum from our own half.
It was the second Test in Pretoria.

Cheers.
Very fond memories watching that series with my extended family.

Many who were around at this time will have suppressed the memory of these, so drag them up from the depths at your peril. But, they'll be burned in there somewhere....
Gerrie Germishuys - too fast for Bee Gee and Kit Fawcett losing the pass over his shoulder.

The immediate vision that popped into my head upon reading the thread title was Stu Wilson vs France in thright hand corner where he seemingly (to a child's eye) flew to the tryline. Stuck with me vividly always.
It's 56 seconds into this. I bet it never gets done again 🙂
By the way that baa baas try, the Edwards one from yonks ago, is like lying about an airswing in golf

Bore da from Wales
Best try, best commentary

The try in the flour bomb test was great. 2:50 in that video. Good optics of the stationary passer getting absolutely clattered but just in time to put Hewson through.
