Cripes, I hope Barrett is fit to play soon.

thankfully we have quality 120keg, 2 plus metre locks coming out of everywhere in NZ

Dom Bird, is grabbing plaudits at Racing. In at least one team of weak following Heineken semis on weekend.

He’s always gonna be well down the pecking order now he’s flown off overseas though.

This was in yesterday's paper. Knowler ignoring Rieko. WTF?

Paul Cully’s All Blacks: Beauden Barrett, Will Jordan, Rieko Ioane, Jack Goodhue, George Bridge, Richie Mo’unga, Aaron Smith, Hoskins Sotutu, Sam Cane (captain), Shannon Frizell, Patrick Tuipulotu, Sam Whitelock, Ofa Tuungafasi, Codie Taylor, Joe Moody.

Reserves: Dane Coles, Ayden Johnstone, Tyrel Lomax, Pari Pari Parkinson, Ardie Savea, TJ Perenara, Ngani Laumape, Jordie Barrett.

Marc Hinton’s All Blacks: Jordie Barrett, Sevu Reece, Rieko Ioane, Jack Goodhue, George Bridge, Richie Mo’unga, Aaron Smith, Hoskins Sotutu, Sam Cane (c), Ardie Savea, Patrick Tuipulotu, Sam Whitelock, Ofa Tuungafasi, Dane Coles, Joe Moody.

Reserves: Codie Taylor, Aidan Ross, Nepo Laulala, Mitchell Dunshea, Shannon Frizell, TJ Perenara, Beauden Barrett, Anton Lienert-Brown.

Richard Knowler’s All Blacks: Will Jordan, Mark Telea, Jack Goodhue, Ngani Laumape, George Bridge, Richie Mo’unga, Aaron Smith, Hoskins Sotutu, Ardie Savea, Lachlan Boshier, Patrick Tuipulotu, Sam Whitelock (c), Ofa Tuungafasi, Codie Taylor, Joe Moody.

Reserves: Dane Coles, Alex Hodgman, Tyrel Lomax, Mitchell Dunshea, Sam Cane, TJ Perenara, Anton Lienert-Brown, Beauden Barrett.

Interesting looking back at some of the selections from back in late July.

Cully got the backline right except Jordie over Jordan. And he only got Sotutu wrong in the starting pack.

So, a couple of new questions:

    1. Who are the options to replace Bridge in the squad? and

    2. Do the ABs still need to take an extra 11 players for a four match tour?

    1. Dunno, not playing wings in the wing so not a problem!
    2. No as there is free entry into Oz. Might take a couple more just in case but I don't think so

    1. Top of my head ... Telea, Fainga'anuku, ... umm ...

    2. No, see above

    @Chris-B

    1. Outside backs: David Havili, Leicester Fainga'anuku
    2. Only a few as injury cover, including Josh Ioane

Can Wes Goosen play on the left wing?

Big Leicester was my initial thought, but he's not ready for test rugby IMO. He's only started a few games in Super rugby.

Rayasi is similar - a good prospect, but green as grass.

They'd surely play Rieko on the left wing ahead of any of these guys.

There will now be bye weeks with only 3 teams so they could probably cover from within the current squad. Reece can also play on either wing.

@booboo Talea has some significant issues under the high ball!

Haven't kept up with a lot of NPC. He was all the rage early in Super.

Well he’s not a winger these days, in which case it’s highly likely that they’ll play him there.

I don't think @Chris-B wants to loose their latest chequebook signing.

TBH, not playing Ioane on the wing when he's not starting in the midfield is just silly. He's easily one of the best wings in the squad even if he hasn't been playing there.

@Nepia We agree for once - and on both points. 🙂

But, I'm also correct about Talea!
