@voodoo that and you got brutally used and tossed aside by hotel security in Aus.
Well, in hindsight, I may have led them on a little...I'm a sucker for a bloke in uniform

Today 2nd funeral for a friend taken by cancer this year. At least i could attend this one for a bit.
Had to attend a mate's funeral via internet stream thanks to Qld's border closure.
Shitty fucking year aye?
Indeed.

Had to go into the office yesterday. Ugh. For a MEETING. Double ugh. I mean a fucking 6km drive for 90 minutes of shit I could have done from the safety of my home office without needing long pants?
#firstworldproblems
Superfluous word alert

The reason I'm really put out: it is the three year anniversary of starting my Long Service Leave. A month in which I did pretty much whatever the fuck I wanted, including a solo trip to NZ, and came home to a wife who was very happy to see me for the next week, if you know what I mean.
Which leads me to my next point: the lockdown work-from-home sex count is a sum total of 1 over 6 months. Which is bullshit.

As I have always maintained: for my birthday I expect sex and am often disappointed.
For her birthday she expects me to leave her the fuck alone, and is always satisfied.

I must have writers block, so much there to go off but I’m blank..
Edit: sorry short lived retirement.

Sympathies to all you guys who have mates and family pass recently.
Had my first test today (a mates GF has had 7, no she's not a front line worker, just a hypochondriac) as I had 'cold like symptoms' on Monday but felt fine Tuesday, Doc told me to get one anyway to rule it out so I'm currently self isolating - just did a 45min walk on my balcony, luckily I currently have a massive balcony.

It's definitely the high point of your posting on the Fern. By some margin, might I add.

havent posted in here before
really starting to struggle, the wife works all the time, all weekend...so other than going out for a daily exercise...i spend my weekends sitting around...kind of lonely
i spend my weeks waiting for the weekend thinking it will be fun...and then the weekend waiting for the work week so i can chat to workmates
had to horrible realisation i wouldn't know what i would go and do even if i was allowed to go out...that was depressing
For some reason I hadn't noticed this post. I basically ended a relationship as Covid was kicking off (and a mate of mine started one that's still going strong) and since then all my couple friends have almost become tight units. We used to have a group that would go out for brunch on the weekend but most of the couples have decided they'd rather make breakfast at home and then go for a walk. Used to be a bunch of us who would go to the movies but the couples have stopped doing that too. They also do a lot of couple groups specific stuff now - couple themed dinners etc.
In saying that in my friends group we still do lots of other stuff, just my interactions have decreased a lot since Covid.
But, I'm pretty happy with my own company (can watch rugby, movies, and argue with you lot) and I'm interacting with co-workers regularly so not suffering really - was just a bit of a shock to the system.
Hope you're doing ok.
