???!? We beasted the scrum and it fell apart under the posts. Have seen plenty of similar PTs
-
Kayne Hammington is clearly offside.

yeah, but otago didnt stop the auckland scrum from progressing, they stayed engaged, didn't collapse...so if you have a dominant scrum the only option are
A) auckland stuff up and knock it on
B ) Auckland score a try
C) penalty try...not exactly a contest anymore is it, just give a fing try and move on, guys cant suddenly get stronger can they so no other options

Or stay in a scrum formation, stay up, and stay straight. Don’t do those things, bad things happen.

Genuinely not. Otago are just struggling against a better scrum. Ref has been fine in this area
-
@Kiwiwomble Did you watch the scrum replay? They had splintered.
-
ok, other than getting stronger, how do you think a scrum can do anythign more than they did, still bound and in formation...just standing because of the fing stonger scrum
-
If you actually watch Ruru for a good period of time, he undoes one of 2 very good things with many poor options and when you consider he is behind dominant sizeable pack ..have watched young Funaki from Marist and Tusitala from Ponies..why would persist with this guy..?

still arms around each otterther and nothign had stopped auckland walking over the line

Probably about to get an action replay
-
I don’t mind him getting first chance. Hopefully Funaki gets a start soon though
-
@Kiwiwomble It's harder to control the ball when the opposition scrum starts going sideways.

@Tim what more do you want, at the 8's feet over the line
Penalty advantage for all the previous infringements?
-
@Duluth Funaki is a very thoughtful halfback ..takes really good options, mind you that is a club level
