Following Aaron Mauger's exit from the Highlanders, one of his predecessors has suggested that the best man to take over the team could be the only man that's ever led them to a Super Rugby championship.

Jamie Joseph is out of the running to coach the All Blacks after he inked a new deal to remain in charge of Japan through to the end of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
