The Western Australian government is busy right now hunting around for the cash to pay the AFL for the Grand Final

I’ve been a bit of a fan of the Eagles since they came into the AFL. Chris Mainwaring and Matera were two favourite players. And young pre-junked up Cousins was an absolute gun.

But I would laugh my head off if Perth got the GF and West Coast didn’t make it. There’s an arrogance about WC fans that would be knocked down a peg or two.

Queensland deserve it for saving the competition ,

Most teams are hubbed there, its become the centre headquarters this year , it just makes sense now ,

if west coast cant adapt when other teams have had to do it , that is their problem

@mariner4life they might want to ensure that they have a team in the final.

    Tigers beat West Coast convincingly.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Eagles based on that performance. They were right in it.

Losing Kennedy in the first quarter hurt them, as did the short turnaround.

Richmond lost grimes around the same time so that was like for like , best forward , best defender ,

Had one extra day but played in the Sapping heat in Darwin which was pretty draining ,

so not too much in it really

The Dees beat St Kilda in Alice Springs and move back into the 8. Last four games are all winnable, which probably means we're sunk.

The TV coverage was shit, desperately lacking a high camera. And I've witnessed numerous Welcome to Country ceremonies over the last few years but none anywhere near as cringe worthy as last night. The worst of it was the women with their tits hanging out, and one of them might have only been a teenager. Gross.

what is the point of North Melbourne?

Not much changed over the weekend. Melbourne showed that not making finals would be a massive choke. And they should be aiming for the 2nd week after that.

Someone is going to be unlucky and miss out, because Collingwood to GWS is (and okay the Bulldogs) is bloody close.

Everyone else can start thinking about 2021

I have tickets to the Dees v Freo on Monday

And dont forget, before they came up with the suns concept, North were offered a massive package to be the gold coast team keeping their colors and logo and they turned it down , im sure they would have still kept most of their melbourne supporters and may well be developing into a powerful club by this stage

If it wasn't for North, we wouldn't have had the Wayne Carey saga.

How about that goal review aye. It was touched, but the reviewer didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to make the call.

Crows get a win!! and the end of Hawthorn has finally arrived (when is it fucking Geelong's turn?). Their list is fucked.

The look on the Crows' boys' faces singing the song was pretty great.

West Coast made beating Essendon look really hard.

    Tigers play Freo tonight ,

With Astbury and now Grimes out are much smaller than ideal down back for this game , and Freo have brought hogan immediately back in which will give them 3 tall marking targets up forward plus will have Fyfe drifting forward , which adds a bit of intrigue .

you'll absolutely hammer them. They are shit.

Fyfe is the best player in the comp, but he can't do it alone.

Win the midfield battle we should be right ,

But if they did get a decent amount of ball going forward , it could get awkward being so small , but it can go the other way , we will be quick bringing the ball out of the backline and might exploit them,

I guess they have to try something , no doubt they will kick long at every opportunity

see, no worries. Took two quarters off and still won pretty easily

Great spray from Hardwick at 3/4 time to get them actually focused

Nat Fyfe is a fucking beast

Yeah I was a little concerned with it being a potential banana skin game lodged in between West coast and geelong ,

Fyfe is fucken awesome ,and a bit of a touchy subject with tiger supporters ,
he jokes openly of his dream as a kid to play for richmond and did everything he possibly could of to impress them to get drafted there and they ignored him 🙂
He went at pick 20 , every club bypassed him

Richmond are in such a good spot for a really good run at this thing now.

They have players to come back in who are proven performers, but those guys are no guarantee to just waltz in, because their replacements are performing.

Their game plan can be beaten, but it takes an enormous amount of energy to do it. Combine that with a defense that doesn't concede a lot, and shorter games, and they are never out of the game. And then they finish strongly, so they know they are a chance to win.

They also have a lot of talent. Talent wins finals.
