If we can’t have Lomu then mine would be. Surprised no one has mentioned Lima Sopoaga... I guess his departure to Southland counts him out though.

Goodes was always injured.

@Winger yeah but he was bloody solid when he did. If concussion didn’t ruin his career then he would probably have been the Canes best ever aswell. No doubt he would have reached the ABs with how he was playing back in 2015.

I've given you an upvote just for the nostalgic anti Weepu post.
And @sparky I suspect Ron Jarden was pre-NPC, otherwise I like that side

His ability to hit targets in traffic was superb though. Good halfback, not as pure a pass as Smith, but then who has that?

@foobaNZ Vito in same conversation as Rodders is nuts, Vito was a very good footballer but didntbreach the heights Rodders did.
Rodders was an essential cog in the AB machine for a long period.
And part of a superbly balanced back row. That Collins McCaw So'oialo was amazing.
Also, and it's terrible for such a good player, but the first thing I think of with Rodney is Rustenberg

@nzzp and then the cliff he fell off after being driven into the ground by Cooper
I don't think I've ever seen a forward decline so fast without major injuries. Amazing
