Loose forwards that Hall and Parsons suggested for the All Blacks squad:
Cane, Savea, Papalii, Ioane, Sotutu, Boshier. They rate them all, and the first two highly.
Interesting they don't rate Frizzel, especially seeing Boshier in that list...

He must be ready to sit on the bench then, or Ofa is off overseas.
If that happens (Ofa leaving), I'll be really wild.
For the Chiefs, if fit, we could move Moli back to 3 and still have Ta'avou off the bench, so it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

If the rumours about Nepo Laulala and Dillon Hunt are correct the Blues attracting players is a change in itself.Injuries are a major consideration in squad depth
This year Tom Robinson,Blake Gibson, Hoskins Sotutu,Stephen Perofeta ,James Parsons to name a few. -

It looks like Moli, Ta’avao and Laulala are all off-contract this year. I'd be more worried that the Crusaders pick up Moli, given he has moved back to Ta$man.

decent article below. Highlights how few squad holes we have to fill (at long long last)
-
Not sure the Blues have found the answer at 9 yet as the article implies, but I guess with the team as a whole going along better, the halfbacks have looked better and no doubt gained confidence.
-
In the front row, James Parsons’ prolonged absence paved the way for Bay of Plenty’s Kurt Eklund to notch up a handful of matches. While Parsons is getting long in the teeth, the expectation is that the two hookers will both still be on the books next year and push each other for gametime..

From an ABs perspective I wouldn't mind seeing Moli move to the Crusaders. They seem to put more emphasis on scrummaging than any other NZ franchise and Moli needs to improve this area of his play significantly if he wants to get back into the ABs. He will be a big asset to the ABs if he can become a better scrummager as he's great in the loose.

There's been a huge turnaround in the Blues community engagement in the last 12 months or so.
100%. The board chair is really clear about their objectives - success on the field is only part of it, they want to be a team that the region supports. Well done, I can't tell you how the Blues have been a bright spot in 2020 for me. They are a transformed organisation

not sure where to put this without creating a new thread...
“We got to the training ground, and everyone’s like, ‘Where’s Ricco [McCaw]’, and I was like ‘Oh nah, he’s here, I came down with him’, and they were like, ‘Mate, he’s not on the bus, that’s your one job’.
“Kieran Read was like, ‘Oh mate, you’ve left the skipper at the hotel’, and this was like day two, so I’m just petrified.”https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/122577754/the-day-james-parsons-left-richie-mccaw-off-the-all-blacks-bus
