    Stronglifts is an awesome programme eh mimic. How long have you been doing that? Still making good progress?

    My trainer said today may be the last session we have together for a while if we go into lockdown so she wanted to see how many tonnes I could lift in our 30 mins session.

    It's a funny thing to do to add up all you weight that you moved

    Started with Bench 80kg for 8 then she throws on two 2.5kg and I have to do 3 and then I do eight back at 80kg. That was three times so
    ((80x8)+(85x3)+(80x8)x3 = 4.605 Tonnes

    Deadlift also 80 but 3 reps of 20
    20x80x3 = 4.8 Tonnes

    Dumbell Lat Pull 30 on right then left hand. 10 on each side for three sets
    ((30x10)+(30x10))x3 = 1.8 Tonnes

    Dumbell Chest Press 17.5kg dumbells 3 sets of 15
    ((17.5x15)+(17.5x15))x3 = 1.575 Tonnes

    Then pushed body weight on the sled (120kgs) There and back, twice

    I feel ripped off for this one as this required the most effort and I was cream crackered after

    120x2x2 =0.480 Tonnes

    Total 13.260 Tonnes.

    All very meaningless but my guess beforehand was way off. I said something like 4 Tonnes without putting any thought into it.

    I hope we don't go into a heavy lckdown as I am really enjoying my workouts at the moment as with the weights and cardio it is all helping with my golf immensely. Dropped 8 shots off the hanidicapp without a lesson. Just by getting fitter and hitting the ball much longer

    You are bent forward with one hand supported on a bench and your feet are back enough that you are on your toes, so you are essentially bridging.

    Then with unsupported arm you pull the dumbbell up to your hip.

    Does that make sense?

    I’m lifting more than I did back then, yet I’m only benching every now and again compared to those days. Goes to show how much dips/push ups/calisthenics etc can help the ‘big’ lifts. Woohoooo !

    I'm about 104 I reckon at the moment. Also have a shit shoulder.

    I reckon I could bench 75kgs about 5 times. After a rest and a beer, maybe another 3 or 4. Pride would probably force me to crack a 3rd set of 1-2 to get to double figures.

    that'd be my running prowess fooling you 😉 - though I was 95 at my peak. I've got got no acceleration or top end speed, but can maintain a good clip over distance.

    I'm heavy, always have been - was skinny-cut for my wedding 15yrs ago, but still weighed 92. I remember going to boxing sign-in at school in Form 4 and being told I'd be with the F6/7 heavies and running a mile 😅

    I dropped 10 shots off my handicap. Just playing 16 holes. Didn't need to get fitter at all.

    Based on my Benching ability I should be really good at Golf by default. Shit this is good to know

    Yeah fully, Shot 75 on the weekend, three putting the 3 of the last 5 holes!

    Trainer has text me saying that as we thought we were going into lockdown and did strength work last week, this week is all power and cardio...… I will be paying the price!!
