Lastly I also like that even though we played an old washed up McCaw, an out of form and injured Read, a shadow named Kaino, a wet behind the ears loosehead, a left winger that looked overweight and slow, a centre that is skinny and white, a tighthead that was going to "get his beans" against Sio, a hooker that just swans on the wings, and a right wing that throws risky one hand passes and is a one trick pony, [lucky we had Nonu, Aaron and Ben Smith aye]......and </strike><span style="font-size:18px;">we</span> <strike>still</strike> <span style="font-size:18px;">won.</span></p>

Too right. Imagine if we'd fielded a proper team. -

Still haven't watched a replay. Don't know why, i have one recorded but even knowing how much of a dominant performance it was i still have the same feeling i had in the week leading up, just before kick off and during that 15min period. Can't imagine what the players must have been feeling.

Funny thing is though. Even the Aussie foxsports guys, kearns, mardo et al. Don't seem as grating anymore. The couple of times ive seen them since they have been pretty good about giving the ABs credit and not carrying on too much. Makes them slightly less painful when you know those legends of AB rugby that retired will never be knocked off that peak.

<p>I only watched the 2011 final on tv for the first time on the eve of the 2015 cup. And with good reason, it was a dire game which we tried hard to lose. The 2015 game is infinitely more watchable and I see it a few times. The ending is always a happy one!! ;)</p> -
I'm not sure the English commentators actually like the game they're that measured. The closest I recall them coming to our South American type excitement was for Ma'a's try.

<p>Was enough excitement in my lounge for me...despite not normally being a fan, I loved a lot of Marshalls commentary in that game, particularly when Nonu & BB scored, probably summed up most Kiwis!</p>
