@Bones I never said that Strange's arm didn't touch his nose. I just said that I didn't see a striking motion of his arm. It could - for example - have happened when he lost his balance in the ruck and fell, and in that motion his arm connected with Jordie's nose who was lying on the ground. But that's just guessing, because - as I said - the footage is unclear/doesn't show it.
😂 Brilliant. His nose started bleeding after it was struck by Strange. Pretty simple. What did Strange go to the bin for?
i've found footage of it. sickening

@Bones He got yellow because the AR said he saw him striking(?) (I don't remeber the exact word he used) Jordie with his (fore)arm. Maybe the Citing Commissioner, after watching other camera angles - concluded that the AR was wrong, or that it was completely accidental, or that it was so low-end that it didn't require a citing and that the yellow card was enough.
I don't know why it's so hard to grasp. Look at the footage yourself, and you'll see it's very unclear what happened when Jordie was at the bottom of that pile of bodies.

@bones beat me too it, but JB and Strange were standing holding each other at arms length when he was
struckstroked tenderly across the nose by Strange's right hand. Not Strange's fault Jordie bleeds easily

@Stargazer bullshit, they showed the footage of his fist making contact with his face. Could you get more one-eyed.
(that blood is from Jordie's accidental, could have come from anywhere nosebleed)
-
@Yeetyaah I looked at what happened before they were having a go at each other. Nothing to do with being one-eyed. I thought it happened when they were on the ground and that what happened after that was just a reaction to that. If I can find the footage somewhere, I'll have a look at it.

I'm still confused as to why squeaky clean Strange didn't have the card reversed as he obviously didn't punch Jordie.
Also confused as to why that dangerous nose-butting action of Barrett's hasn't been written up immediately.
that shit looks dangerous!

@mariner4life awesome GIF!
Strange had hold of Jordie's collar and, whilst still holding the shirt, pushed forward with his arm and the clenched fist hit Jordie's nose. Now it could be said that he was just pushing him around but accidentally contacted his face. But really it was a short length punch.

Chiefs the favourites for this game with home advantage and getting some players back from injury.
Not even you could keep a straight face writing that.
-
@African-Monkey I agree with @Stargazer . They are due for a win, have a history of beating better Crusader teams (this Saders team is there for the taking) and at home. That money the TAB are offering for the Chiefs is looking bloody good.

@Bones If you want to waste as much time on it as I just have, be my guest.
I've already looked at it (via Sky on demand). Image by image. No clear evidence of a punch at all. While standing up, they hold each other's jerseys. That already started when they were still sitting on ground. You can even see Jordie sitting on the ground, looking and gesturing at the ref and when the ref doesn't respond, he starts hitting Strange's hand with a flat hand, to make him let go of his jersey. Then, you can't see them standing up, because at that stage the camera is focused on the coaches, but it's almost as if Strange never let go of Jordie's jersey.
When the camera goes back to the little scuffle, Strange's right hand (still) has hold of Jordie's jersey at the same left shoulder, near the collar. Jordie's left hand has Strange's jersey near the right shoulder. At the beginning of that piece of footage, Jordie has his right hand in front of his face, which almost suggests that at that point there had already been contact with his nose. In what follows, Strange never has a closed fist, because he's still grabbing Jordie's jersey. Not a single moment in the footage you can see Strange let go of the jersey to strike Jordie in the face. During the pushing and shoving his hand - while holding the jersey - may have touched Jordie's face, but it can't have been a punch and it looked closer to his chin than his nose. In any case, it must have been accidental. Nothing worthy of a citing.
