NPC - news, injuries etc
-
This is from the article below about the Hurricanes signing Julian Save for the remainder of SRA:
Savea’s Mitre 10 Cup side is yet to be confirmed, and Wellington Lions have said they are not chasing his signature at this stage.
-
@Stargazer So Head Coach Holland admits he has not seen him play for a fair while yet for some reason has signed him sight unseen. Surely the local clubs must be asking questions of the body set up to represent them (the WRFU) and who in turn controls ownership of the Hurricanes serious questions over the competence of those involved in such a reckless transaction given their financial constraints.
Interesting to note they are prudent enough not to commit their own funds into employing him for the NPC. Obviously the have no compunction about spending the cash given to them to pay for the salary of Super Rugby players. -

@Canes4life geez, how old is Galu now?
-
@Bones I hope it's not a sign that someone as old as Galu will get a Lions squad position before someone like Caleb Delany who has been with the Hurricanes this year. The non-selection of Hugo Plummer suprises me aswell, unless he's been injured.

The non selection of Simon Hickey indicates that he must have tumbled remarkedly down the rankings since he was signed for the Lions.

I stand corrected then. I had thought he had been signed for both the Lions and the Hurricanes. I wonder what ever became of the rumoured signing of Jono HIckey for the Lions that was being whisper about under the breath of those "in the know" down here about this time last year?
